in a fight with many swing rounds, the scorecards were gonna be all over the place

fight is not scored as a whole, scored rbr

ioka clearly won rounds 5 and 7 , so just so happened that judge gave every single swing round to nietes

Thought Ioka won round 9 really clearly, IDK...Judges seem to have agendas sometimes. Fight was excellent and close but those ultra wide cards end the fights on a sour note.

Everyone i know on another forum said it was extremely close with a lot of swing rds and those kinds of fights really just come down to the prefered boxing of the judges. I think rob is a little harsh in this case. This pretty much happend in a neutral country with neutral judges not like the canelo-ggg where the bryd card could easily qualify as homecooking

I thought Nietes won 7-5 in a close fight. I was going for Nietes before the fight so take it for what it is.

I felt Nietes won far more clearer rounds... When that happens, some judges will reward the swing rounds to that same fighter. I felt that's what happened.

Nietes landed far more combinations as well. Ioka would land 1 power punch, and every now and then a 1-2 combination. But that's it. Nietes was more crisper with his jab.

Of course, if a judge gives every single swing rd to 1 fighter, well that's prob. something wrong going on.
