Same people that hyped Broner years are hyping the Charlos now

I actually sat down and watch the Charlo/Korobov fight yesterday. Gosh if anyone scored it to Korobov i wouldn't have argue with them, I was reading comments on here where Korobov said he was "Robbed" and i thought he must be crazy, because no one made any threads in regards to the fight been close. But i swear he had a case to say he thinks he won that fight. Did anyone else had that fight close on their card? Both Charlos look really vulnerable on that night. I don't know if its a good idea for both of them to fight on the same card/night.

Every fighters get hype once they scored a few KO and look good vs lesser competition. Nothing wrong here. If youre a fan you will hype the guy you like watching. The Charlos arent bad and I think they will learn from those fights. Im not a fan of theirs but they both solid fighters, not just super elite fighters. They might get better with time, who knows.

Dude no joke and I'm dead serious, I had korobov winning 9 rds. Charlo was just not landing much in the fight. If you watch the first 8 rds korobov dominated. He made charlo miss re set and dictated his fight. His left hands were landing clean each rd and were the eye telling blows. Charlo was landning air and gloves but somehow the judges and compubox counts that.

I thought it was only me, i only decided to watch it due to the 109 scorecard, I watched the Charlo/Harrison one the next day and had it to Charlo, wasn't too bothered if anyone scored it to Harrison but i thought Charlo did enough in that one.

With the Other charlo and Korobov that fight was actually a better fight, Korobov was impressive, resetting, landing the straight left, he was troubled a few times especially the 12th round but he had a beautiful footwork that made Charlo look amatuerish at times. But am surprised there wasn't more of a case of anyone crying robbery on here with that fight.

Sigh... There is no room for subltety on the boards big D...one is either declaring the Charlos are the next thing after Krispy Kreme's or failures who will not amount to much of anything. Like all rumors there is a little truth and a whole lotta hyperbole that comes from the little truth! But what is the truth about "hyping" a fighter and their level of skill?

The truth is Broner, the Charlos...have extraordinary talent. And its true Larry spoke highly of Broner, I remember you and I discussed Broner... And...Broner was, is and remains talented. The Charlos are also talented. Talent is what we as fans are trained to look for. its hard to imagine that every guy who fights professionally has talent compared to the average individual. Most people would not last five minutes getting punched in the face to develop their talent, one has to at least have a base level to become professional...

And then we see a guy like Broner, or the Charlos and they have talent that exceeds most professional fighters. They show skills that usurp other talented fighters who are professional and naturally, as fans, people get excited at the prospect of where that talent will take the fighter.

But the things we don't see, loom so large...We don't see how temperment was formed for these guys, if they have the drive, the ability to really work and get better... AND LORD IT CAN FOOL YA!!!! Chris Eubanks had the dad at home, seemed to have the drive, the ambition, the talent....Yet...yet... The kid had that fatal flaw, Hamartie!!! And that is Arrogance and a father willing to indulge it. Who could predict that? And suddenly we are a few more fights in and Eubanks shows himself to be tragically flawed...though I would argue, no less talented, no less potentially able with a perfect trajectory, whatever that is, to almost be half as good as his father imagines him to be.

Who could say how the Charlo's were toilet trained? and what flaws, what strengths would/will come to the surface in their quest to be the best? Ditto for Broner, for Eubanks? These are UNKNOWABLE! All we know is that few, talented, or otherwise, make it all the way to being one of the best.

And we are not even considering the fickle hand of fate. Being at the wrong place at the wrong time... An innocent, not so innocent girl KOed Tyson's best years.... Another one was waiting in the wings to take the rest away. Thats Fate!

So I can say that when I spoke to Larry and Big Dunn about Broner I was and am convinced they were right: Broner had supreme talent. I would grant the same for the Charlo brothers. And I would say talent is the gas that feeds the engine for the boxing fan... When we see it we kind of live for it because: while we never know how far it will take one, we do know without it, no one goes anywhere.

But before it turns one into an Ali, A Mayweather... a lot more has to happen that we cannot see, cannot know about, and cannot predict. And thats just the nature of the game!

With that said there is every reason to hype talented fighters.

I watched Jermall-Korobov again as well and I thought Korobov won clearly. I just can't see how anyone could have Jermall winning this. Korobov landed the cleaner punches throughout the fight. He faded after 6-7 rounds but continued to land the more eye-catching shots and drowing reaction from the crowd. Korobov simply couldn't miss with his left hand. You can't win a fight if you're getting hit over and over by the same punch.

This fight reminded me a little bit of Lara-Williams. Korobov and Lara were both southpaws, underdogs, landed clean straight left hands all night against opponents pressing the action, and just like Lara, Korobov was robbed.

The Charlos might have bought their own hype, and/or felt the pressure to provide excitement with a K.O. and forgot to box and win rounds. They were given a boxing lesson and both clearly lost in my opinion.

I think both brothers are better more serious boxers than Broner. No matter how much they hype a boxer that boxer has to be good enough to live up to the hype and often they aren't good enough no matter how badly their fans wish they were. I never thought Broner was that good. He was carefully matched and won titles over weak champions or challengers for vacant titles and he won some close fights that he should have lost. Jermall became a middleweight champion without beating a single top middleweight. People in power often make things easier for them

It's the same crowd. I don't need to name any names. You know who you are and everyone knows who you are. Just saying. Just like when broner was exposed by paulie and ponce de leon. The shock came when he lost to maidana. Then jermell was exposed after losing rds to jackson and a life and death with vanes and now harrison. With jermall it's now korobov. The writing is on the wall. Only a matter of time.

I'm just gonna come out and say this straight up: There's a difference between hating someone and dissing them as a boxer. I have never hated AB. I have always known he was a clown and a loser, but God Bless the dude I knew he had lost the hood when he started flushin' money down the toilet. Damn that's disrespectful to the people you grew up with !
