That is not entirely true. Ortiz opted out to fight AJ as he didn’t want to wait. As the IBF mandatory took precedence over the WBA. Ortiz was next in line but chose to pursue Wilder which was a understandable move in my eyes. You know the rest from there I assume? The great thing about being mandatory is that even if AJ was scared he would have to fight him unless you are a WBC mandatory then you can retire for 3 years and come back and get your shot

I totally respect that reply. However why can't AJ just annouce Ortiz as his April fight. You know if a poll was made to see AJ fight whtye, Miller or Ortiz ... Ortiz would win the poll.
