Doesn't seem it really matters what Wilder's managers want. They didn't want him to fight Ortiz, but he demanded it. They didn't want him to fight Fury, but he demanded it. Wilder feels like he has unfinished business with Fury and would look like he's ducking Fury if he fought anybody else, even if that fight was Joshua. If it were up to Wilder's managers, they might just want to cash out now and do the Joshua fight after seeing how close Wilder came to losing in his last two fights.Comment

The carrot for beating Fury is the public not thinking that you ran away from the guy who just almost beat you. When you have a draw in a big fight, if there isn't an immediate rematch, the public gets very angry. If you want to say Wilder is ducking Joshua, fine, but if he fought Joshua next, a lot of people would say he's ducking Fury.Wilder has talked about unifying for many years, and there being one face, one champion. The carrot at the end of the stick for the Joshua fight is more money, more belts, undisputed, lineal status and a guaranteed rematch in Vegas.
The carrot for beating Fury is what exactly?
For all the reasons you listed, it wouldn't surprise me if Wilder's team wanted him to just do the Joshua fight and make as much money as possible before risking a loss that makes the huge payday evaporate. But I don't know as a man how you could have the result he had with Fury and then refuse to give Fury the rematch.Comment

If you polled the people who watch LDBC videos, maybe. But not if you polled the people who pay to watch fights.I totally respect that reply. However why can't AJ just annouce Ortiz as his April fight. You know if a poll was made to see AJ fight whtye, Miller or Ortiz ... Ortiz would win the poll. That's just merely what is still going on. He won the poll for to face whtye but whtye chose a rematch. If Sasha and him fight (good fight) but why not Ortiz especially with their feud.i mean dang someone fight this man as he calls everyone out. Sucks nobody reciprocates his call outsComment

I actually used to really like Ortiz. He is a very skilled boxer . Anyway I bought into the boogeyman propaganda and I went to watch him fight Malik Scott. What a atrocious fight but nevertheless I kept faith and blamed Malik Scott.I totally respect that reply. However why can't AJ just annouce Ortiz as his April fight. You know if a poll was made to see AJ fight whtye, Miller or Ortiz ... Ortiz would win the poll. That's just merely what is still going on. I then went to watch Ortiz fight Dave Allen ( honestly I fancy my chances vs Dave Allen) another lacklustre performance. He is a good fighter but he does take the xfactor. Yes He fought admirably against Wilder but every fighter looks like Muhammad Ali when you face Wilder until he lands his right hand. He honestly doesn’t deserve a shot and I’m not hating I just think he is not good enough.
Him vs Dillian Whyte would be a great fight. Joe Joyce has even called him out but he has not answered. Anyone that can take a punch and has a good engine beats Ortiz. Miller vs Ortiz is a great fight too.
I can’t lie AJ vs Whyte is a garbage fight. If it goes 6 rounds Joshua should be stripped. It’s a easy fight.Comment
