I'd be fine with Ortiz or Povetkin. Anyone who isn't hand picked to shelter Whyte. Even Kownacki who would gas out if he didn't learn from the Martin fight....at least it's not predetermined.

If Fury and Wilder is off the table right now, I want AJ to fight Pulev so when Fury and or Wilder are available Eddie doesn't just throw his hands up and go "Oops, IBF Mandatory!"

OK, this line of thinking I understand and think has a lot of merit. Problem is, Arum has already said they won't take that April 13 date because Pulev needs a challenge before fighting AJ, so they won't do it until the fall.
