So im meant to accept votes from people with 1 post? One with 30 posts? Another one whos only visitor message is larry offering them points for votes in 2014? An obvious alt with 130 posts over a few years that sent me abusive private messages? It would be more unfair on the other posters if i counted them. People would be upset either way and ive made my decision, them votes arent being counted. Thr only reason i didnt put that in rules initially is that i didnt think it would be necessary, i should have known better.

If they aren't banned it shouldn't matter.

Man. We had an early issue with an accusation of (minor) cheating early in the pick 'em this year. If you knew the extra work I've put in to ensure full transparency and the ability for the players to error check... necessary shit though. Different situation though cos we had time to evolve different solutions with that, whereas this is a once a year thing.

I think there are good people that make an honest effort. Transparency takes very little effort in a case like this. It has the advantage of shutting down trolls and cheaters alike. I do appreciate when people make an effort. There are some situations where it is necessary to make such an effort, I actually like most of the posters chosen for the honors...

As I explained to Drama, you can show the problem posts, categorically and explain why they should be dealt with a certain way. That way it keeps things above board.

A couple years ago the POTY year vote was voided because a member(no longer here) flooded the poll with alts. I ran several of the voters here IP's and found no wrong doing. The poster "not larry's alt" has no posts so I can't check the IP yet. But I doubt Larry would make an alt with his name and vote like that, it is too obvious.

The odds are that someone else made the alt to discredit him and the poll.
