Charlo is already very good. We'll find out if he's great when the top dogs fight him. If he was a "nobody that needs to fight someone" but was not very good, any one of the top dogs would fight him. I know how the game goes though, so Charlo will have to keep beating whoever the put him in with.. Eventually the noise will be too loud for GPB to ignore.

Neither Charlo is really that special and both are now suspect as hell with PED usage. At best they can be "good" if they ever step up. But "great"? That term is thrown around too much especially in the weakest era in boxing right now. I'd say Crawford, Lomachenko, Usyk have a ceiling to be "great", maybe Inoue if he improves technically but that's it. Nobody else simply has it. It just is what it is. If you think I'm kidding just watch some of the middleweight contenders of the 50's and 60's and how excellent they were as far as skills, technique and all around game. The Charlo's wouldn't even be top 30 in that era.
We think now if a guy has an "0", or fights twice a year and KO's some stiffs whilst probably juiced that he's great.

Interesting part of the article:
Al Haymon, Charlo’s adviser, has made eight-figure offers to Golovkin (38-1-1, 34 KOs) in hopes the Kazakh knockout artist will join Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions. Haymon’s plan is to lure the aged Golovkin into the PBC/FOX/Showtime fold, eventually match him against Charlo and, perhaps as important, prevent Canelo-Golovkin III from taking place on DAZN.
