Very little was going on in the early rounds. Wilder was the aggressor and landing the cleaner more effective punches. Fury was making him miss a lot, but wasn't landing much of consequence. You could really score those first four rounds in either direction. I personally scored them 2-2, but I could understand 4-0 Fury or 4-0 Wilder depending on what you value as a judge.

That is really where the controversy comes from. Fury fans had those rounds 4-0 Fury, one of the official judges had them 4-0 Wilder, so Fury fans cry robbery.

But if you had them 2-2 like I did, and like a lot of ringside observers did, and then Wilder has the other 10-8 rounds, that means you only have to give Wilder 1 of the remaining 6 rounds to get a draw. Which is why a draw ended up being such a common card.

Also, link to the article please.
I polled dozens of writers that were on press row with me and approximately 40% had a draw. Later on, BoxingScene posted an article interviewing several experts, and approximately 40% had a draw.

After Saturday night’s WBC heavyweight title defense by Deontay Wilder, who scored two-knockdowns during a draw with lineal champion Tyson Fury, BoxingScene.com sought the scores of 14 boxing insiders.

Joshua was offered the 50 million he requested. Joshua turned down the fight.

Wilder agreed to the flat fee of 15 million. Joshua turned down the fight.

Wilder announces he's done chasing Joshua and is moving on with his life, and then suddenly Joshua wants to fight him. Very convenient. Wilder is tied up with Fury now. Will make more fighting Fury than he'd make fighting Joshua. Joshua will have to wait.

Joshua turning down Wilder to fight someone else for LESS money = duck.

Wilder turning down Joshua to fight someone else for MORE money isn't a duck.

I saw plenty of opportunities where Wilder could have got to Fury with body shots and straight punches. Is he capable of making the adjustments?? That's what's intriguing. Most likely no but maybe..

The f with Povetkin. He is below the class of Fury, Wilder and Joshua.

If AJ had a draw with Povetkin, he doesnt deserve to be in the same class with Wilder and Fury.

You didn't answer my question. How do you score a fight? What are the scoring criterias?

At this point I think you know that literally nobody believes your claims of being an insider. Therefore you polling 'dozens of writers' is nothing but another lie from you.

Well he has a better resume than Wilder, is more proven and never (other than the Klitschko fight) has looked as out of depth as Wilder does in his every fight until he lands the hail Mary.

It's Wilder who's not in the same class as Fury and Joshua.

If this is the case the fight would have happened. Wilder received a contract for the fight for 15M which he didn't sign; therefore didn't agree to the fight.

same posters calling this a duck also said Wilder will NEVER fight Fury again lol.. hes giving the man an IMMEDIATE rematch like a true champ. unlike Golovkin who never gave Jacobs a second chance. this rematch is the biggest fight to make in boxing. this dry ass division finally crossed over into mainstream with a classic fight. why not keep the momentum? AJ is only big in UK, hes nobody in the states while Fury branched out with his performance.

Yeah, this makes perfect sense Deontay, seeing as Joshua has 4 belts, gives you a chance to unify, pays more money and you've always said you're all about "one name one face" LMAO

It's clear to even the ******est person now who is the ducker.
Glad it's out in the open now though

                      HHAHAHSHAHAHAH

I literally wrote what the scoring criteria is and which favored each fighter.

If you need them spelled out in order, here you go:

                      Effective Aggression (Wilder)
                      Defense (Fury)
                      Ring Generalship (Debatable)
                      Clean and Hard Punching (Wilder)
