They both went undefeated for over a decade, controlling the belts along the way. You can take Vitali out of the equation and Wladimir still had a decade long title reign. In the last 20 years, where are the shorter heavyweights with dominant reigns? Especially if you don't even consider the Klitschkos dominant, you must have high standards for domination. So who were these shorter dominant heavyweights?
What is it about the super-tall heavyweights since the 2000's?

thats interesting, who has dominated since Mike TYson and Lewis?
The tag team Klitschkos who got starched multiple times by middle of the roaders? Neither dominated. They needed the help of another fighter in order to own one title, or a severe watering down of the title as with wlads late (improved?) reign. They are proof that fighters have got weaker as they got taller!
Joshua? maybe since hes faced two title holders, and wilder and fury share the honour of just facing one. The fact that the titles are split three ways argues there is no dominance, with only Joshua acting to buck that trend so its interesting that you claim that wilder fury and joshua all dominate when none of them are.
And Lewis and Tyson didn't get starched by some middle of the roaders? Buster Douglas and Hasim Rahman come to mind..Comment

then your mind is not the job, since i said Sanders, a retired one and hes one who didnt contend successfully. He was supposed to be bum option.
Douglas and rahman both contended successfully to beomce number one contender, earning a shot. retired sanders was a deliberate attempt at a soft touch defence again from K bro team. He couldnt even earn a shot when active.
so you need to try again with your mind working.Last edited by DreamFighter; 12-20-2018, 08:11 AM.Comment

you can keep saying it but facing largely a bum club isnt dominant. They both went undefeated for over a decade, controlling the belts along the way. who said they were dominant? you, oh ok. i get your approach, trying to put words in my mouth for an argument you can win. No, you gotta reply to my words, not yours. So who were these shorter dominant heavyweights?Last edited by DreamFighter; 12-20-2018, 08:09 AM.Comment

This. Humans don't evolve that fast lol. More tall people taking part, simple. There's a good vid on YouTube which explains it well. It's a Ted video on sports evolution.Comment

link it or summarize please. I know it isn't evolution but I do often wonder. I used to be tall at 6'1", not anymore.Comment

I tried, this site wouldn't allow it as I haven't made enough posts! It is on YouTube called are athletes really getting stronger, bigger, faster. Channel is TED.Comment

Nutrition is the main factor. We're getting bigger, faster and stronger and this is all happening is such a fast pace.
Perfect example is in the NBA where this is very clear phenomenon. We look back at 80's Jordan era and today's Lebron's fast paced era and we marvel at the size discrepancy. Never seen a Durant or Giannis running at full speed with a perfect balance and coordination like that ever before.Comment

Whats happened is boxing has evolved to become less skill and fitness focused, allowing people with size to benefit more than they would have previously.Comment
Or another with so many mandatory challengers who are fat and/or old.
