But, ummm..NOPE. Looks quite the opposite. Not only did those piston jabs do zero damage, but Ca$hnelo's power shots M U R D E R E D Gennady.
So Ward lost to Barrera? Or does that not count?

Making punches miss is it's own reward because the punch missed you. You don't get extra points for that. It's the same in every other sport you want to name. Football, basketball, soccer, tennis and all the rest. You get points only when you score and a great defense gets you NO POINTS. To say Canelo won because GGG missed more punches is ****** and wrong. Of course GGG missed more punches because he threw more punches. By your reasoning Canelo could have thrown no punches and won even bigger because GGG would have missed so many punches and Canelo would have missed no punches because he threw no punches.

So make all the conspiracy videos you want. This is not amateur boxing. Bleeding, cuts, swelling, and bruising are all scored by judges (rightfully). The career pitter-patter MW got pushed around and bullied by the JMW coming off knee surgery and a year's layoff.

Too easy. And LMFAO at all the idiots quoted in this thread. Ya'llmake my stay at BS tolerable as dealing with "professional bloggers" here like WhiteWonderBreadMan are almost intolerable

        Umm..what??

stealthradon is, as usual, so far up Gennady's/Loeffler's/Sanchez's butt that he can't make the most remote sense.

Ward connected on 166 of 463 punches for a connect percentage of 36%, according to CompuBox. For his part, Barrera landed 111 of 722 punches for a low connect percentage of 15%. What’s interesting is that Barrera threw 263 more punches than Ward in the fight. What this means is that Ward can be dramatically outworked by his opponents.
        • Punch stats
          Punches
        • Ward - 166/463 = 36%
        • Barrera 111/722 = 15%

I can't find stats on jabs/power, but I'd be hard-pressed to imagine Ward landed only jabs given he had a legitimate KD round ~2ish.

Ward outclassed Barrera in that fight landing at more than twice the rate while defending responsibly throughout. Complete outclassing.

stealthradon so how are you comparing this to either Canelo or GGG fight?

For years they said he was one dimensional, then when he fights off the back foot (effectively too) its 'he was forced to fight a different fight, what happened to mexican style'. If people had no prior knowledge of the two fighters, they would score it for ggg, which is what most the casual fans did. He outboxed the younger fighter

Jesus I thought ”big bad bruiser” getting walked down would get rid of the GGGoons.

Isn't it sad when fans get excited over their 26 year old hero struggling with a 36 year old. LOL. P4p number 1 but can't beat a guy 10 years his senior.

Yup jabs and potshots only count when your name is ward or mayweather. One pot shot per rd wins you the rd.

Yeah I had Golovkin winning 115-113. I also thought he outlanded Canelo in most of the rounds and that Canelo was getting credit for alot of 'fast' shots that were actually blocked and simply for trying to walk down GGG although the whole fight was in the middle of the Ring so idk how effective he really was. Any way...idk if Artorias videos are legit, because watching this punch count it seemed like a very one sided fight in favour of Golovkin. I might have to rewatch the fight in order to judge.

The scoring system pro boxing uses is called the 10 point must scoring system. Look it up and learn more about the sport you follow.

You'll understand why the first fight was a draw and why Canelo won the rematch.
Really, man? Can tell you have your finger on the pulse when it comes to the ammys?

They changed that shit to must 5 years ago, man. I mean you seem like a nice enough dude for sure, but coming on patronising to folk when you don't know your own shit ain't really a good look, man. Just sayin.

In March 13, 2013, the computer scoring system was abandoned, with amateur boxing instead using the ten point must system, similar to professional boxing.

u know its hard to decision canelo right
the moment i saw canelo become the 1 who march forward, i knew he'd win

if his domination like 1st fight couldn;t buy his win
then he needed much more domination fight
