Help Me Understand Wilder's 20lb+ Weight Loss

    1. what is the logic behind it?
    2. what is causing him to lose the weight?
    3. When was the last time a heavyweight champ went out of their way to lose 20+ lbs?

I just don't understand it. He looks lean and leathy at 228 lbs. Now he looks sickly at 207 lbs giving away the weight for no reason. His metabolism shouldn't be faster now at 30+ yrs old.
What is the cause behind this?

He started VADA testing and had to come off the roids.

He was on VADA testing since the first Bermane fight where he weighed 219 lbs. He was 228 lbs against Spilka more than a year doing 365 VADA testing. So he gained about 10 lbs under VADA. now he's managed to lose 20.

      Your timeline doesn't work.

The fear of Joshua has caused him stress and decreases his appetite.

Who knows? Didn't know he has been losing weigh since the Arthur S fight, I thought he lost weigh for the Ortiz fight which he put down to being ill at the time. Is this weigh loss on purpose or something else?

They are hiding some chit. that's for damn sure.

name another heavyweight champ that lost 20+ lbs during their reign as champ.

it simply never happens. their weight fluctuates a bit and usually goes north.

Wilder is a very very peculiar case.

Whatever he is doing he should stop and then Ruiz and Kownacki should start

His power at a lighter weight hasn’t diminished; so maybe he feels his cardio/stamina is better conditioned at this weight.

Yeah to lose that much is a bit worrying, maybe they aren't concern. I think his right hand equalises everything and preventing that hand from injuries is probably their main priority.

His power imo has diminished. I honestly do not believe fury gets up if that was the right hand and left hook thrown from the 228 lb Wilder
