Golovkin was willing to fight Froch at 168
Golovkin was willing to fight Chavez at 168
Golovkin was willing to fight Hopkins at 168
Golovkin was willing to fight Jack at 168
Golovkin was willing to fight Chudinov at 168
Golovkin was willing to fight Ramirez at 168
Golovkin was ONLY willing to fight Ward at 164
so.....
Canelo should be fine fighting Fielding at 168 and Smith at 164
right..... ?
RIGHT..... ?????
..... or is that not how boxing works now ?

They seem to want Canelo to fight Lemieux, so my guess is they have Canelo vs Jacobs or Jermall Charlo at 160 in May and have Lemieux vs Uzcategi on the undercard and then have Canelo go back up to 168 in September to fight Lemieux who will have a 168 pound title to justify it being a PPV
that would be the end of Canelo/Lemieux
GREAT idea, I'm up for itComment

yes, I did
but, Dawson insisted on 168.....
before that fight, Dawson insisted that he can make 168 EASY..... and he said it was his dream to win a title at SMW
THAT, is what he said..... I remember VERY clearly
of course, there was a different story after the fightComment

That scenario you mention have sense, now that Lemieux cannot do 160 lbs anymore. They still are going to play Lemieux card now that we all know Canelo is going to fight in the 168 lbs for the right fights like he said. They seem to want Canelo to fight Lemieux, so my guess is they have Canelo vs Jacobs or Jermall Charlo at 160 in May and have Lemieux vs Uzcategi on the undercard and then have Canelo go back up to 168 in September to fight Lemieux who will have a 168 pound title to justify it being a PPVComment

The G-String fans still hold religiously that Ward ducked GGG when in reality we all know GGG have that ****** 164 catch weight to make Ward the one who was ducking. Also they still said the GGG of 33 years knock out Canelo. They are stuck in the past and they always use this past to justify how great GGG are.Comment
