Whyte made the right decision in fighting Parker over Ortiz as it was just as good name at the time (maybe not so anymore but that's because Whyte beat him).
Also the 2nd mandatory position was clearly not a credible incentive as Brazeale could be pushed back a whole year if Wilder fights Fury and a unfication bout with AJ. So Whyte could end up waiting 3 years for that to come to fruition which I'm sure we can both agree would be pointless.

Chisora over Ortiz is where I diverge. Ortiz is a better resume builder and opportunity to establish Whyte as a "player" at heavyweight. Chisora is a domestic fight that does nothing for Whyte from a ranking stand point. It strikes me as a stay busy fight until Joshua Whyte II can be announced.
Whyte is ranked higher than Ortiz in every organizations, so I don't know where that notion is coming from.
Ortiz needs white to make a statement, white dot need him as much. A victory over chisora is twice a victory over kauffman, am sure 90% will agree on this.

I think Hearns hoping to sell it to the casuals as 'unfinished business' type of fight to generate more money than they could with Ortiz as it's in the UK. Chisora isn't the worst opponent though he's top ten in some rankings and tough as old boots, also he looks to be in a lot better shape so I wouldn't be surprised with an upset, especially if Whyte hasn't improved his stamina from the Parker fight. Definitely potential for a good old slugfest if the first one is anything to go from.
I will see him as a guy who wants to use the cheap talk media propaganda to get a title shot which is not gonna work.
#fact.

I personally find AJ to be both repugnant and pathetic by neglecting and depriving the boxing fans of the fights they want to see. He wouldn't even so much as show how up at the Staples Center for crying out loud and we are supposed to take Eddie at his word that he is ready to sit down and negotiate for either Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury? Please give me a freaking break!
Lolx..... This sounds like a crying baby begging For breast milk.

If Whyte Hearn wanted the fight, they could have sent a contract. They didn't.
From a competitive standpoint, there was zero reason for Whyte to fight Chisora over Ortiz.
Ortiz should improve his market value other wise he will find it difficult to land any top 10 fighter except wilder his pay master.
He should do himself a favor to be at whyte /chisora ringside to show the UK fans how serious he is. Anything shot of that, hez just joking and playing with the media.
