I would love to see Ortiz-v-Whyte; winner gets AJ. That seems fair.
Whyte is fighting Chisora in less then 2 weeks, so Ortiz is going to have to wait on that.

Whyte has moved up the rankings and proved himself since his fight with Joshua. Champs should face the more proven and higher ranked fighters out there. Any other talk is just nonsense.

Do you call 2 American fighters getting it on as just 2 domestic fighters?

I understand why it's happening, but it doesn't make it less disappointing.

yep, their previous offers to Wilder..... were obviously bullshlt

as proven by Fast Eddie, who recently slipped up with this doozy.....

" At the moment I think a split of 65-35 in AJ’s favour is fair "

besides that..... they were willing to pay Parker 32.5%

those two facts, made it clearly obvious that they are avoiding Wilder

Joshua attending Whyte/Chisora is just the proof in the pudding

You don't believe letting Wilder into the ring would have got people wanting the fight only for Wilder to ask for 50% just like he's doing now and have people blaming Joshua for the fight not coming off?

It's pretty simple to follow. You do not give people like Wilder the chance to **** you over like that. Joshua had no problem with letting Wlad into the ring because they had a contract signed and sealed. Wilder didn't have a signed contract so he didn't let him in.

        • are Joshua fans still trying to convince everyone that AJ did not duck Wilder..... as Joshua hastily makes plans to be ringside at Whyte/Chisora.....?

          really..... ?

you mean..... Joshua had no intention of signing a contract, so he didn't let him in

wow, I was right..... the same idiots who run around making childish excuses for Golovkin, have suddenly decided to do the same thing for Joshua

Chisora over Ortiz is where I diverge. Ortiz is a better resume builder and opportunity to establish Whyte as a "player" at heavyweight. Chisora is a domestic fight that does nothing for Whyte from a ranking stand point. It strikes me as a stay busy fight until Joshua Whyte II can be announced.
Parker was a former world champion and has a better resume than Ortiz. So that's a no brainer.

The Chisora fight has been talked about since their first fight. It was always something that could happen at any time but picked up steam early this year. The only reason to why Whyte and Ortiz went at it on Twitter was due to Chisora asking for too much money so Whyte thought he was free to fight Ortiz. But Chisora seen all this talk and went back to the negotiation table and signed. So Whyte didn't duck Ortiz in any way. He just got a fight over the finishing line that he had been negotiating for quite some time.

Whyte is a player at the weight after his win over Parker. A win over Ortiz doesn't really do much else for him. His ranking stays the same and he finds himself in the same position. Also, Ortiz would just be called shot when he lost. Whyte was in a no win situation.

Because the same things that seemingly are a knock on Ortiz, are ignored when it comes to Whyte. He was knocked down, then gassed, then almost was knocked out (literally bear hugged Parker the last minute) by a pillow fisted Parker. Has only looked good lately versus a guy who has only looked good while on gear.
Whyte gassed against Parker because he only had 6 weeks for training camp. Parker had the same, but Whyte was a lot more active so he was going to feel it more than Parker.

I also wouldn't call Parker pillow fisted. He's not the biggest of punchers out there but when he commits to his shots he's got a pretty decent dig. But Whyte was able to take Parker's shots for most of the fight until he gassed, so I wouldn't really read much into it. When you're tired, punches have more effect.

Whyte looked good for most of that fight as well as looking good against Browne. Ortiz on the other hand looks pedestrian against complete hand picked bums.

..... what, sitting next to Joshua..... ??

so, using YOUR methodology..... Joshua was NOT serious about fighting the Wilder/Fury winner, because he did not bother to appear ringside at their fight.....

and, using YOUR methodology again..... Joshua has been bullshlting his fans, because he has made plans to appear ringside at Whyte/Chisora..... ?

                  right..... ?

I'm not sure that your " must appear at ringside " argument is doing AJ any favors
Wilder should have been ringside for AJ/parker.

Lolx... At least Parker has been ppv prior to AJ's fight, no matter how small it sold. So we can actually lay claim on something for that huge %.

Wilder got nothing but a green belt with no ppv records. I wouldn't blame hearn for the flat either. Wilder had no level as at that time of negotiation.

Heard will be very generous to give him 35% at the moment. Hez still a distance B side to be honest. He should been addressed as former champ.

                      Your analysis is epic.
Whyte has nothing to gain spanking Ortiz off the ring.
His rating/ranking remains the same with less money.
                      It's no brainer.
