Can't lie tho the telecast was awful lol. They didn't even give a **** about the Estrada fight and talked about other things throughout the whole fight. Also constantly getting names messed up and just telling flawed info. Wtf was up with Max btw, that dude didn't sound well at all ?

HBO let it happen, not boxing. They would rather use their air time for garbage movies they rerun, agenda driven documentaries and comics who aren’t funny. It’s probably a reflection of their subscriber demographic who likely aren’t big boxing fans.

When Lampley wasn’t spewing his bias or calling phantom punches he was one of the best. Jones is awful, and Kellerman will probably land a gig on ESPN boxing in some capacity.

I think we all know the long story of the rivalry with Haymon, it was really related to corrupt boxing politics. Suits fighting it out while the fighters, producers of channels and especially fans lose out.

HBO boxing to me was the production crews, the commentators, Buffer, of course the fighters, venues, the high class venues etc. Not the suits who threw it all away for dollars.

              Look at this clown.
It's what happen in the ring that matters.
Make their are high class fighters in the ring and we all good.

Go watch Downton Abbey if it's class that you seek.

HBO bias did become annoying in the later years...but I won't shoot the messengers. The commentators were pressured by the exec's to sell product and if you want to keep your high paying job you have to do what you have to do unfortunately. This was part of the HBO downfall.

I would like to see Showtime dump Mauro Ranallo and replace him with Jim Lampley. I'd also like to see Roy Jones Jr in the team.

Whoa whoa...leave jimmy Lennon out of it, he’s about the best ring announcer in the game. He’s on par with buffer imo.
