Isn't there a rule where the boxer who caused the knockdown is sent to a neutral corner and told to stay there??? Then if he moves from that corner the ref will pause the count and send him back, before re starting the count?????....

Maybe I should check the rules first lol, but i'm sure that's how i learnt it as a kid

So anyway, looking at that vid, Tyson should of had more time while Deontay was sent back to the neutral corner which Jack pointed him too...

I gave Fury 10 rounds, yes. I can see a case for someone thinking Wilder won 3 though. 10-2 is a more common card than 7-5 so I feel good about it.

I score on clean punches, effective aggression, ring generalship and defense.
Look, no disrespect...sike but to say that Fury won 10 rounds makes you about as clueless a fan on scoring a fight that Ive ever seen score a fight. That’s a fake bogus outlook. You should be banned for your scoring. #Pathetic

The time-keeper is the woman in the black and white striped vest, bottom left of the picture.

The first thing Reiss does when Fury goes down is wave his hand right hand and point emphatically at the canvas to indicate to the time-keeper ... the count starts now.

She immediately stands up and raises her own right hand, then starts calling the count for Reiss until she is sure he has picked it up correctly.

Check the time on the video .. Fury hits the canvas a fraction of a second before 0.40 and he is up by 0.49.

        That's nine seconds, folks!

i thought he got up at 9 1/2.... surely before the 10 count.... and for those who said why he didnt wave it off right away... maybe when he stood over fury counting he saw that his eyes were open looking around coherent idk just sayin

Also irrefutable proof that Wilder failed to stay in the neutral corner for the duration of the count, so Reis could have stopped the count until he returned to the neutral corner, which makes the whole long count thing completely irrelevant.

              Check it out for yourself.

This video is so horrible. They started the clock before fury was even completely down.

This is the exact moment the clock started

Hes not even completely hit the canvas and the clock is on.

Yes, yes that is indeed the rule. Which makes the whole argument a mute point, because Wilder wasn't in the neutral corner for most of the count.

There is a reason why the ref picks up the count from the time keeper, because it is at their discretion.

That's what Reiss said in his explanation... that he knew Fury was awake and aware by the count of 5 because he could see it in his eyes and facial expression.

Fury starts getting up at the count of "6" - but he's 6' 9" and 260lbs ... and it's the 12th round. He obviously isn't going to jump up to his feet in an instant, like a fresh bantamweight, so Reiss gives him the time he needs. And as long as he doesn't need more than 10 seconds, that shouldn't be an issue.
