He's putting too much pressure on himself by both selling and training for the event. He needs someone to help sale him to the public. He should consider signing with Golden Boy Promotions, since Oscar is an outfront promoter where you can see his face.

That was the trouble with Roy Jones, Jr. None of his pay per view bouts did more than 350,000 buys because he lacked a promoter. 350,000 buys were his glass ceiling; Perhaps outside of the three fights that Don King promoted with John Ruiz and the first two Antonio Tarver bouts.
Lol, **** Oscar De La Hoya.

Wilder is finally starting to really break through with the casuals, Wilder-Fury 2 will make that clear (pencil in Ortiz-Breazeale as the co-feature; Joe Joyce isnt making that jump just yet, regardless of the bluster), and the launch will be cemented with Wilder-Ortiz 2 or Wilder-Joshua.

    Oscar adds zero value

Let's put Wilder against Brezeale and then judge his PPV status.
WIlder was the A side and champion so he gets more credit but clearly Fury was the "seller" of the fight, as opponents in PPV championship fights are supposed to do.

Exactly what records has AJ broken fighting unknowns?

Attendance record in the UK I think.

        (I'm guessing.)

          Y'all don't listen, do you?

Rematch is coming no matter what. There is a rematch option. Either one of them can exercise it. The only way they don't have an immediate rematch is if BOTH fighters decide they don't want it.

Fighting AJ next was only an option if there was a definitive KO finish or something else decisive - which clearly didn't happen.

Even in the case of a draw? Where does it say that?

            • UK: 1,000,000 Buys x £20= £20,000,000 so around $25 Million US
              vs
              US: 300,000 Buys x $75= $22.5 Million

If you're Showtime you're happy with your "Little 300K+ Buys" and you're really ecstatic knowing that you have a Mega Rematch in your Back Pocket now that will do DOUBLE the amount the PPV's the 1st Match

It obviously looks fixed that way and I can see that being a turnoff but apart from that everything else was good and points to both guys selling even better in the future especially Fury, who's got a big personality and is the far better fighter.
The outrage won't last longer than maybe another week, if we're honest about it (with the replay being Saturday, that might extend another 4-5 days).

Still, when it comes time for the rematch, the entire marketing of the fight wil feature Fury's ride back to redemption, Wilder's push for acclaim, two undefeated stud heavyweights having the first bout, Fury delivering arguably the best Fury performance we've seen yet, Wilder showing the resolve not to fold up like Klitschko did, Wilder breaking through with his power late, Wilder salvaging the fight and his title with a stellar 12th round, and Fury digging wherever he had to dig in himself to find his way back to his feet and stand for the split draw decision.

And now, the two warriors are doing it again. Can Fury "swim without getting wet" for another 12 rounds? Can Wilder figure out a way to land more of his shots or land The Shot earlier? Will Fury bring out something different or try to set his feet more (putting himself in even more danger)?

Now, if the rematch is some controversial outcome, fans will remember the controversy for a long time and it'd stick.

                  Don't lie.

Eddie Hearn said that the only way he'd offer Wilder 50/50 would be if it did a million buys.

After ****ting on the tickets sales ($3.5m live gate with 17600 in attendance), as I openly said leading in, you're now trying to hide your hand like a sucker.

Should probably keep your mouth shut the next time
