These days, Floyd Mayweather's nick name "Pretty Boy Floyd", has been changed by many fans... a lot of fans how now changed that Nick name from "Pretty Boy" to "FRAUD Mayweather Jr." Many fans believe ducking 8 million dollar pay day against Antonio Margarito can mean only one thing...Floyd is in fear of Margarito. Many fans are even refusing to give Mayweather a decent place on their Pound for Pound list.

Bob Arum who promoted Mayweather and is still the promoter for Margarito seems to agree with fans. Arum is quoted in the Grand Rapids Press as saying "He (Mayweather) can say whatever he wants but he's terrified of Margarito.That's
the only explanation."

Arum went further, adding: "It would be his biggest purse ever, by far. So if he weren't terrified, he would go ahead with the fight and pick up the $8 million, then try to make the fight with (Oscar) De La Hoya, right? I suppose Mayweather could go fight Baldomir, if Baldomir beats Gatti, but that's no pay-per-view fight. These opponents aren't in the business of fighting Mayweather and letting him have all the money. I don't know what he's thinking, but I would say there's a very good possibility he won't fight again this year."

The deadline to face Antonio Margarito is fast approaching and Arum says they will move elsewhere and fight someone else if Floyd isn't interested.

Part of the problem is floyds ego. I truely think he just cannot fathom why he should fight a guy that has (to some peoples opinions and mayweathers) ever really done anything in the ring. He looks at it like who the **** is this guy that everyone wants me to fight, he does nothing for me. However turing down 8 million dollors is just ******. However after ODH last performace and total anialation of Mayorga oscar is not seen as a shot or over the hill fighter and floyd knows this so he will bide his time until he gets the fight with oscar. Floyd is obsesed with his legacy and he sees that he has to beat the marquee names close to his weight or ones he can fight at to be truelly great, which is true. What he forgets that if other fighters like margarito become marquee name later on and floyed cannot secure fights with them that will tarnesh floyds legacy because like Roy jones would be considered to have ducked people like Jones VS DM which never happened and has hurt jones legacy somewhat.

No, try following along, son. You accused me of making comments based on "hearsay." When it was in fact the guy who I was responding to who was spreading "hearsay," because he was saying it was confirmed that Mayweather is being offered more money to fight someone else, according to nothing more than the word of some Greg Leon groupie. LOL BUT you ignored that "hearsay," since it was favorable to Floyd, and focused instead on my criticism of Floyd not wanting to fight Margarito, based on the word of Bob Arum, the guy who's offering the money, Margarito's promoter, and Floyd's former promoter that he had to buy the last fight of his contract from so he wouldn't have to fight Margarito.

Once again, he's obligated to fight on Nov. 4th. That makes fighting in early October not an option.

Because they both don't have opponents lined up, it's not inconceivable they could meet on Nov 4th.

If there's any chance of the fight happening in the fall, it will be Margarito fighting on Floyd's Nov. date.

The chances of that happening are slim, because he can take an easier fight for a bigger pay day on his own date.
