Wilder was in his prime, fresh, eager to prove himself.

Fury was in the absolute shape of his career vs Wlad, and had been for years leading into the fight. Vs Wilder he coming off 3 years inactivity, weight gain, drug and alcohol abuse, and two tunes vs complete patsies.

Just in case anyone thinks this means Wilder is better than Wlad
This is pretty much on the money.

Yeah he made a mistake by pulling straight back with his hands down...that was careless. He didn't move off the line

I like how everyone is quick to dismiss the version of Fury that showed up. They mention a long layoff despite the fact he did have two fights this year, yes they were in fact fights that Fury trained for despite opponent. You can also make the argument that Fury was more motivated in this fight than vs. Klitschko. He was out to prove to the world that you can overcome mental health issues. Fury proved to be a true inspiration.

Joshua gets credit for beating guys like Whyte, Takkam, Parker fighters who looked like utter **** in recent fights. Joshua was getting hurt and losing to a shorter fighter in Povetkin. Wilder was in Russia to fight Povetkin and we all know how that ended. Give Fury credit for being a true inspiration and give Wilder credit for what he's accomplished boxing.

Actually, Wilder got outboxed much worse than Wlad did. The two KDs saved him on the cards.

Not to mention that Fury that Wlad fought was 5 times the fighter this fat slob is.

Actually, Fury was coming off the flu in camp for that fight, and he said he came in lighter than he wanted to.

5x the fighter this fat slob was? Oh word? Seems like he was damn near the same type of fighter. It is just that against Wlad he was in better form coming INTO the fight. Definitely not 5x better though. And Fury was in very good shape. Didn't tire and was able to stick and move for 12 rounds.

Wlad just got so discouraged he stopped trying to win and didn't want to take risks. Wilder who is far less skilled than Wlad is one who has more self belief and he was still throwing bombs late in the fight and wasn't discouraged to the point that he didn't throw at all.
