Speaking to my boxing mates here since the fight, no one seems interested in a AJ VS Wilder fight anymore he has been badly exposed and has slipped down the pecking order big time in the division. AJ vs Fury to find the best fighter on the planet is the only fight people want now, even Wilders belt is almost worthless as we all know he got totally outclassed by the first top fighter he has faced under pensionable age.

"Wilder needs his next fight to be the Fury rematch. His bargaining power with Anthony Joshua is actually weaker today because he hasn’t resolved whether he is better than Fury. I still believe Joshua’s next fight in April will be against Dillian Whyte, so long as Whyte beats Dereck Chisora." - Johnny Nelson

Even Johnny knows! Lol! Johnny is on point! Wilder's stock is down, and it can only be resolved by a Fury rematch! I believe it should be in the UK too! However, Fury has some things to prove too! 212lb. "Birdlegs" did drop him on his ass twice! Is he ready for 250lb. Joshua? Will he stay in shape after that check comes in? Will Hearn give him 50/50 without a title? Wilder vs. Fury II. Make It Happen!

Every puncher who rematched the better boxer has done far worse in rematches historically. I don't see how this is any different unless Fury falls off the straight and narrow.

Joshua will never fight Wilder in the US now after what happened. I still doubt that Wilder wants to fight in the UK.

I see Joshua trying to keep the Fury rematch in the US. I just hope that Fury forces Wilder to have to come to the UK. Wilder has no bargaining power as far as location at this point in either fight. If Wilder ducks the Fury fight for the location, everyone is going to feel he's just looking for home cooking.

Fury vs Wilder fight got a lot of attention in the UK. Seems like everybody was talking about the result the day after, and everybody who talked to me about it said the same thing - Fury should have won and will definitely win if they fight again ... and AJ would KO Wilder, for sure.

So I don't see how anybody can argue with Nelson's opinion. But they will, you can bank on that.

The fact that Wilder and Fury have a huge rematch on the table makes both their negotiating positions stronger imo.

I was rooting for Fury in the fight. There were a lot of close rounds, and it seemed the commentary team were giving all the close rounds to Fury. I didn't score the fight, but at the end it didn't feel like there was a clear winner, so pretty relaxed with the draw.

I really don't feel like there was any robbery. Fury exceeded expectations, and had the back story, but it doesn't mean he won. He tamed Wilder in many of the rounds, but not all 10 of the ones he stayed on his feet. Wilder nicked a few of those close rounds, only question being did he nick 3 of them (draw), 4 of them (win), or 2 of them (Fury win). Some of the rounds were close enough that any of those answers seems reasonable (he nicked 2 or 3 imo). The judge giving Wilder 7 rounds needs a talking to though.

I live in the NW UK, and my experience has been the same as yours. Wilder's rep has taken a real knock over here and Fury vs AJ is the fight that UK fans want to see now.

Wilder's team made a lot of noise about the lineal HW title being so important, and that could come back to bite them. The winner of a Fury/AJ fight would have 3 belts plus the lineal, and be a massive A side over Wilder in a potential 4 belt unification fight.

i'd rather see the rematch. Joshua is boring and mentally weak.

It would be huge in the UK, no doubt about that, but we'll have to wait for the US PPV numbers to come out before we can judge how big it would be in the US.
