So you are saying that boxing beautifully and outclassing someone for pretty much every round except two is not enough to win a fight???
Wilder actually was on top for about 40 seconds in the whole fight, even after the Knockdowns Fury was back in charge and landing the better punches within 30 seconds.

these people voting for, "No, the fight was a draw, if not a Wilder win" - you are worse than the ******s in the pub who simply cannot understand that boxing is scored BY THE ROUND... "Wilder deserves to win, he knocked him down twice"... that is not how boxing works, you should know better

Wilder won 4 rounds at most and I only gave him three. The judge who gave him 7 rounds should be suspended.

please, somebody, tell me, for the love of god, which three rounds did Wilder win apart from the two knock-down rounds?! Wilder needs three other rounds to get the draw...

So between 116-110, 115-111, and 114-112 all fine scores. look, the knockdowns only add two points, so are some people saying that if you exclude the knockdowns that fury only won by 2 points!!! I scored it 116-110. And like others have said, even in the rounds he went down, he actually ended up getting the better of Wilder later on, How he got up from that R12 knockdown though, I will never know. Unbelievable.

all i can say is good luck, it seems that you will need a lot of it in order not to be a complete f#ckwit for the rest of your life

I feel like you could just about justify a draw if you were willing to make a few stretches. That said, I still voted for the first option because I think that if you don't make stretches then Fury clearly won. Outside of the 10-8 rounds I only gave Wilder round 5.

Seems to me that there were a lot of close rounds, especially early on.

All three judges gave Wilder round 1. I initially thought Wilder took round 1. On review, I thought maybe Fury just edged it. It was kinda a pick 'em round. I thought Wilder took round 2, as did one of the Showtime scorers. The judges all gave it to Fury.

I thought Wilder may have taken round 5. Two of the three judges gave Wilder round 7, which I thought Fury should have edged. Funny enough, only the judge that had it for Wilder gave round 7 to Fury.

As the scorecard said, close rounds. I think Fury took the fight or it could have been scored a draw if three of those close rounds go to Wilder. I haven't watched it all over just yet, but as I said, 1, 2, 5, 7 could have been candidates for those close rounds. Give 3 to Wilder, and you have your draw.

Which of course would mean that they weren't neccesarily 10-8 rounds, which a lot of people aren't aware of. A knock-down doesn't automatically mean a 10-8 score.

Anyway, yes he was robbed on the cards, no it wasn't a surprise. Follow boxing for long enough and you come to expect it. It's just a US thing either, it happens across the world and it's equally disgraceful wherever it happens and whoever benefits.

What's slightly dispiriting is that as you see this happen you'll also start to see people start to justify it by claiming that a champion requires or even deserves special treatment. Sometimes they're doing this subconsciously because they support the fighter who benefitted, sometimes they're more brazen or honest.

Regardless, the integrity of the sport, such as it is, is damaged each time a home fighter or big earner is favoured in this way.
