How does almost getting stopped by ortiz be seen as proof of a solid chin?

anyone can get hit with a well timed and well placed punch that can wobble or hurt them....its how its handled....some handle it better than others...some crumble...some get hurt and cant survive the onslaught.....wilder didnt crumble and made it through the onslaught...then put ortiz down two more times

keep fighting the good fight! maybe your words can KO wilder!!!
you probably shouldn't be a clown yourself if you're gonna make that accusation.

it doesn't say all that much about his chin, but it does show his ability to recover and his will to stay in the fight. to come back and win makes it even more impressive...give the guy some credit, he went through a bit of fire and found a way to win.

Is this really a thread of someone trying to persuade us that Ortiz has the power of Chris Byrd?

wilder took his gas and didn't get stopped. this is HW, big shots will mess you up. i'm not sold on wilder having an iron chin, but it's not glass or he'd have been out of there.
It's on record Ortiz fought similar bums like wilder. They are both bum beaters.

Not really fought anyone top class in the pros or shown concussive power. If fury tags him clean on the chin hes hurting him, this guy has been rocked by molina and some bums early on. Dont be shocked if its fury who lands the big shot out of nowhere.....
All I know is that Ortiz from 5 years ago puts Wilder to sleep. The old man was outboxing him easily and had Wilder out on his feet. If Fury can box around Wilder, I think he might take him out late because Wilder's boxing skills are not all that, his power is the equilizer. Fury is the taller man and if he can get some leverage on a solid counter, I can see Wilder going down. Coming in so light comes at an expense, punch resistance.
