It would have been crazy to stop it there. Wilder already ate some big shots, and just like those times, his legs never got wobbly here. He was grabbing and holding, and doing what he do -- crazy eating shots like GGG and shaking his head "no." Contrast this with Ortiz doing the stanky leg.

Wilder is crazy gifted with youthfulness, strength, and very intense want-to. What is Fury going to do? Wilder was eating shots from Ortiz. Fury isn't going to do S.

      Have a refresher:

The last punch at 4:22 the ref could have slid in to stop it EASY.

Why did Richard Steele stop the JCC vs Meldrick Taylor fight who was up on the cards or why did the ref stop the Crawford vs Benevidez fight? Both could have finished, it happens all the time.

Am in a good mood now, let me allow you to win this round but trust me, am going to KTFO in the later rounds.

It definitely shouldn't have been stopped...that's ****** as hell. Wilder was still very fit and proved it by winning by KO. You should only stop the fight if the ref thinks the fighter is in serious danger of having lasting damage

I don’t know why you’re so offended the fight continued. The fact that wilder walked back to his corner fine, had no concussion symptoms, eyes not glazed, etc.

Also, the two examples you have later were both fighters that were crawling back to their feet when the fight got waived off.

Sure you can say it could have been called off in the UK, but considering the stoppages they’ve been famous for, that’s not a good thing.

Absolute búll****. Referees aren't doctors, they aren't qualified to give anyone a prognosis for their future health. The fight could easily have been stopped, that's why the doctors got involved and they gave him valuable seconds to recover.

The Doctors got involved because they wanted to buy Deontay extra time to recover..it was cheating that's all

British refs jump all over a fighter if he shows the slightest bit of trouble. Wilder wasn't out on his fight and taking unnecessary punishment, nowhere near it. They already took away 15 rounds, now they're supposed to take away epic comebacks and the violence out of the sport? Boxing is already becoming boring, we don't need your ****e to ruin it completely.
