I root for Ukrainians too.
Are Ukranians racist for rooting for fellow Ukranians?

I root for the boxer I like best no matter what country they live in. Most boxing fans from all the different counties tent to root for their countrymen. That is being nationalistic, not racist.I see a lot of support for Ukranian fighters from Eastern European/Ukranian fans.
It's not right.
How come they don't root for black fighters? Or Mexican fighters? Or British fighters?
They should support boxers and choose the best style and then be a fan, not be a fan just because they're from the same country or region.
Ukranians shouldn't root for a boxer just because they are Ukranian!

Are African Americans racist for supporting African American boxers? It's the same question with racist implications. Why even ask it beyond trying to create some type of racially charged hate thread? Most Mexican/Hispanic fans support Mexican/Hispanic boxers as well, why single out Eastern Euros?I see a lot of support for Ukranian fighters from Eastern European/Ukranian fans.

Mexicans don't root for hispanics, they just root for Mexicans. They don't also root for Cubans or Puerto Ricans. Cubans only root for Cubans. Also, I was being sarcastic, but within your own post I'll answer this: If you root for someone because of skin color (African Americans rooting for black people) is wrong. Would the African American root for Kelly Pavlick or Bernard Hopkins? No secret, they would side with the similar skin color.
If you root for someone because they come from the same country (British fan rooting for Joshua) that is being prideful of ones country, nothing to do with skin color. The British fan can be white or black, and he's rooting for Joshua, not because he's black, but because he's a Brit.Comment

Most of the Eastern European Supporters Particularly on this forum...Are Not Eastern European or even of Eastern European Decent!
But No I don't think it is racist just like I don't think a Black and White Americans rooting for their own are racist either. That is called being Culturally Bias, not RACIST! Now those match ups can become RACIST particularly in the US and people tend to make things Racial. All if takes is a few trolls posting dumb childish stuff to make things racial
It is a F#cking Obsession with Racism in the US, everything is basically Black And White with a lot of us Americans and yeah it is patheticLast edited by sicko; 11-30-2018, 06:33 PM.Comment

Because people confuse Nationalism for Racism.Mexicans don't root for hispanics, they just root for Mexicans. They don't also root for Cubans or Puerto Ricans. Cubans only root for Cubans. Puerto Ricans also only root for Puerto Ricans.

Oh I know, just trolling those who think this way. I saw too many posts with people crying about certain fighters backing up their countrymen.
It's ******, but there are actually people out there that can't grasp this concept.
They're too dense to figure out the difference.Comment
