$75
No buzz
Casuals never heard of either of these dudes.
Gonna be a tough sell.
This fight should have been about $39.99
You'd think they'd start fighters on cheaper PPV's to build the fighters profile/numbers instead of going in dry with a full $75 straightaway. I guess they're supposed to be the experts though.

There's only two fights possible for PPV for Wilder. Fury and Joshua. Got to get as much cash as he can, if he loses there won't be a next time.
UK buys will bring it up quite a lot. It will easily outsell the US buys which I don't see doing that much really. Maybe 100K?
UK will be 300-400K. If it was on at prime time in the UK, it would've done 800K+
Yeah if Usyk/Bellew can do 600K then had it been in the UK on prime time then 800K seems very doable. Think it will do 300-400K too due to the bad time slot.
In the US i'll be shocked if it does less than 100K, I'm thinking between 200-300K. If it does less than 200K it's safe to say it's a flop and a financial disaster. I think 300K is a solid number, not good but not awful either. Above 400K would be fantastic considering their low profile in the US.

Yeah but that's only becuase they fail to build him up. Look at how much better AJ has been pushed through and now every fight is a PPV.
Wilders team either think he won't compete at that the same level as AJ has and therefore won't pay for him to unify or they're milking him for as much fast cash now an failng to invest in his future.
They should have dropped the price and made it look like Wilder had demanded it to make less money so more of his fans can watch, when really the increased number of buys more than makes up for price change.

That's due to media exposure. They didn't invest in promoting Wilder because he wasn't a great prospect, he's overachieved doing what he has with his skills. He's had more exposure mentioning Joshua's name than his team has done his whole career.
Lacks the Sky machine to get those kind of numbers in the UK. If it was on Sky, it would've done 800K even at early morning maybe more because UK boxing fans will watch and pay for big fights on Sky even at early morning (Mayweather/Hatton, Mayweather/McGregor, Pacquaio/Mayweather all doing 1M). Prime time with Sky backing and Joshua implications being pushed would've done 1.2 million+.
I think the fight is a big draw in the UK without Sky but it would've doubled the PPV numbers with Sky backing it.
