Could Lomachenko used another fight or two to prepare for Salido? Maybe, but don't let hindsight get in the fact of Lomachenko still being a solid favorite heading into that fight. The next fight he beat GRJ with ease. And we still don't know how much that was a styles make fights type of thing or not as they never rematched. How do you know Salido wouldn't have given him fits even after five or six more fights?

There is nothing to diminish. They deserve props for being damn good fighters. But GTFO trying to act like 15 professional fights for someone like Bivol is the equivalent as 15 fights for someone like Jaron Boots Ennis.

loma bit off a bit more than he could chew, and will be far better off from that experience than some prospect who fights 10 no hopers. a big part of why fighters are moved slowly is to get used to pacing themselves to go more rounds. no matter how great an amateur someone is, they aren't gonna be ready for tough 12 round fights.

I wasn't equating bivol with any other prospect. 15 fights is different for every fighter...there's no set limit of trash opponents someone needs to face depending on their amateur background. like I said, nobody is forcing these guys to face top quality opposition with so few fights, they are making that choice.
