Wilder-Fury U.S. PPV price set at $75

It is too much at this point where both fighters in the main event aren't well known or nowhere near the point where people want to see if one of them loses.

That was what "sold" Floyd fights...people didn't like that he was undefeated and marketed himself the way that he did so they tuned in to see if the opponent could beat him. It also helped that Floyd was among the best in the sport. Neither Wilder or Fury fit that bill.

It's $64.99 SD/$74.99 HD. Canelo vs GGG 2 was $74.99 SD/$84.99 HD.

$64.99 SD/$74.99 HD has been the standard PPV price in the US since 2013, with a few massive fights priced even higher.

I thought there was a small chance WILDER vs FURY could be priced at $59.99 SD/$69.99 HD, but it's been so long since HBO or SHO have used that price point, that $64.99/$74.99 was always going to be more likely.

HBO and SHO's internal research shows that each PPV purchase averages 6-7 viewers per household. Sure you have some men ordering the fight and watching alone, but typically you have big gatherings for PPVs. PPVs are typically priced in the US to cost around $10 per viewer.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but the undercard is much stronger than the typical PPV undercard in the US.

Showtime is giving Adonis Stevenson and Julio Cesar Chavez for free as a lead up to the PPV, and the PPV has Jarrett Hurd and Luis Ortiz.

Hurd is a unified champion that is a main event PBC fighter now and Ortiz is typically a PBC co-feature. Adonis Stevenson, Julio Cesar Chavez, Jarrett Hurd and Luis Ortiz is a lot of star power that night leading to the main event.

$75 is a pretty standard PPV cost.

That is 3:1 in ratio compare to U.K. prices. $25 for PPV here. So selling 350k PPV is the same as selling 1million plus over here. They should have a good bargaining chip once this happens for Wilder/Fury.

It is a shame because it is a bloody interesting fight. But if it doesn't do great numbers, they need AJ involved:
