In all seriousness, this Fury/Wilder fight has backfired pretty badly

He wasn't signed to Hearn. According to Hearn Ortiz refused to sign a deal with Matchroom and only agreed a fight by fight basis deal, which Hearn has done before with other fighters.Ortiz was signed by Hearn you idiot.
So many forget the facts when it comes to sucking off Deontay Wilder. Ortiz was given 2 fights on matchroom sports to get the UK audience interested in him facing Anthony Joshua, but Ortiz didn't look motivated in either fight and failed to impress. Later he failed another PED test and after all the fallout from that decided to jump ship for a shot at Wilder's WBC title.
It's true he looked poor and that would of made Hearn think twice about matching Ortiz with Joshua as it would of been a hard sell to the casuals. But either way Ortiz was never inline for a shot before the mandatory was called, Wlad was the fight they were looking for before Ortiz ever fought on a Hearn card and that was common knowledge.
And yes he clearly decided to choose an easier path to a title when he signed with Haymon and had agreed a fight even before his mandatory was confirmed by the WBA.
Talk is cheap, it's his actions that expose Ortiz. He talks big about fighting Joshua but when he had the chance he performed poorly, refused to sign with Hearn and chose to fight Wilder instead.Comment

Exciting heavyweight star Luis 'King Kong' Ortiz has joined forces with Matchroom Boxing as he plans an assault on the Heavyweight World titles. Unbeaten Ortiz is one of the most feared fighters on the planet and has blasted away 22 of his 25 opponents inside the distance, with the vicious Cuban’s last two outings underlining his fearsome reputation as dismissed Bryant Jennings in seven rounds to land the interim WBA crown in December and then destroyed Tony Thompson in six rounds in March.
Every other source I can find also confirms that he signed with them and only later were the details revealed that it would be on a fight by fight basis. He still signed with them.Comment

Whether you believe everything Hearn says or not, there is consistency in his statements on AJ/Wilder.The problem with Finkel is when you tell a lie, then you need to tell another lie to cover up that other lie. All you need to do is go back and look at the little interviews that he has given from day 1 to this point. Then go and have a look at the interviews Hearn has given from day 1 up to this point in regards to how the negotiations transpired. Then fathom in comments/interview by Warren in regards to the phantom $50 to 80m dollars offer.
Then you would see who ducked that fight. Add those two market values to the equation and what they both bring to the table to make that fight.
There is no consistency from Wilder and Finkel.
Finkel:
"I have told Eddie Hearn we officially accept his offer to fight Anthony Joshua on the terms Eddie gave us"
"We never accepted that offer, because it didn't have an address or a venue."
Wilder:
"This isn't about money, I just want to fight the best"
"$15million is crackhead money! 50/50 or no fight!"Comment

Yep, Finkel has been all over the place from the start of these 'talks'. He's always changing what he has previously said.Yeah, according to Finkel, they couldn't accept the $15million offer because it didn't specify a venue .. nothing to do with it not having a date now, apparently.
He also said that they knew right from the start of the Wilder/Fury negotiations that the venue was going to be the Staples centre, they just didn't want to tell anybody.
Shelly's getting old. He can't even remember his own lies any more.Comment

You guys blasting the fight are fools.
Their not even in the ring yet you decide it's a flop.
This is probably the biggest heavyweight fight this year yet all you do is bring it down maybe because your idol AJ didn't have the gumption to make it happen.
Cry into your beers lads when this fight proves successful. But but AJ could of earned his biggest payday and got what HE was asking for yet he Daddy Hearn wouldn't allow it. Lol.
So to save face for all you poms Fury accepted the challenge that AJ wouldn't and this is after coming of a 3 yr lay off.
Don't criticize the fight which should have been AJs just cause he has no balls.
Relish in the fact that at least one of your fighters from across the pond will take on the Bronze Bomber.
No more to say.
Goodbye.C'mon mate.
