In all seriousness, this Fury/Wilder fight has backfired pretty badly

There is no consistency from Wilder and Finkel.

    Finkel:

"I have told Eddie Hearn we officially accept his offer to fight Anthony Joshua on the terms Eddie gave us"

"We never accepted that offer, because it didn't have an address or a venue."

    Wilder:

"This isn't about money, I just want to fight the best"

"$15million is crackhead money! 50/50 or no fight!"
    Pretty much this ^^^^

Sure.... In as much as we all want to see a good fight, we are also interested in the numbers.

They can always pad the outcome.
They can lie and claim it did 300K in PPV sales.
It's a forgone conclusion. No one will ever know the real numbers.

People here having wishful thinking that it flops so it can support their agenda.

Instead of supporting boxing and the event do well.

If it does well we all win

You expect it to do 300k at 4am?

Tyson Fury's last THREE fights bored people. He is not as popular as AJ. He is not even basing himself in the UK for this fight and BT doesn't market fights as well as Sky Sports.

Fury's last fight was on an undercard.

I would be shocked if this even does 100k in the UK.

                That's what clowns don't understand.
They think Brits are all awake watching a circus fight.
That's why fights like these are better off being done in the UK,
mainly because of the time difference.

Brits would stay awake for the right fighter, guys like Hatton, Hamed, Lewis if against the right opponent. But not for Fury.

Fury isn't as popular as Joshua, or Haye, or even Bellew. Hell he's not even as popular as Froch or even Cazlaghe. You know that Joe Calzaghe who did 225K buys vs RJJ and who's fight with Hopkins wasn't even PPV.

How about how Eddie lives the numbers and there's no way that fight's anywhere near 100mil. Then a few month later Eddie says yeah he lowballed Wilder but I promise you gotta believe me this time I didn't?
