It's going to be uphill climb but if anyone can pull this one off, then it is got to be Mikey Garcia. Obviously he sees something in Spence that he can exploit. In addition, He is easily the more experienced and seasoned of the two fighters and the more fundamentally sound one two.

On the other hand, Spence is still raw, green and yet has a lot to learn at the professional ranks. He is not as developed or mature in the ring as Mikey is. He could use just a bit more seasoning and experience because he yet has a lot of growing to do.

Saying Garcia "may" have a problem moving up to 147 to fight one of the better WW who actually could move up to 154 tomorrow if he wants to is not going out on a limb. I am calling it: A coyote "might" have a problem handling a grizzly in the wild.

Garcia is an easy top 10 fighter and is a live dog in this fight. But he is the easy underdog. This is a strange decision to make when a Lomanchenko tussle could arguably make him more money in a near 50/50 fight.

If he loses vs Loma first, he won't get Spence. Once he loses vs Spence, he'll still have Loma.

We'll probably see that fight down the road. Its been talked about for awhile. Spence can easily make 160. If Spence crushes Mikey and the numbers are good/Great I can see that fight in 2-3 years. Both are still young.

Canelo advises that Mikey fight at 145 catch weight for 4 yrs against mainly scrubs to grow into the division. Unfortunately the 2nd part of Canelos advise is to wait for Spence to turn 35, but that isn't something that Mikey could do tho.
