What I don't understand is, WTF has Spence done? He beat Kell which was a good win but with an asterisk next to it due to Kell's known weight and eye issues after being eventually mauled by GGG but other than that, what has he done? Everyone says he is great but who else of quality has he fought?
I am not saying Spence isn't a great fighter, he could be the best of this new generation, but he only has one belt in one division and hasn't unified or cleaned out his own division.
Props to Mikey for calling him out and actually taking the fight but it would have been worth the risk had Spence proven more in his division first and if Mikey won, he won several belts and beat a proven-entity.
