You could pretty much say the same for Loma, only actually top champion Loma has beaten was Linares. The other were the weakest champion or a vacant belt against a Russell Jr who never beat anyone of note. Loma is great but lets not act like he's beating the top champs for their titles.

Half the people were predicting that Rigo would school Loma but he quit. he was undersized though, and i don't think it's a great win for Loma despite being a fan but a lot of people did think Rigo would win and then changed their tune. He was considered a p4p fighter either way.

Loma also went up and stopped Linares, who was the best the division had to offer at the time. i don't think Linares is great but at least Loma took on the best at the time and not someone like Jeff Horn.

i think Crawford is a good fighter but his resume is p1ss poor for someone that's been through three divisions and unified one and had 34 Fights.

And i can't see how that's gonna improve because i don't see him fighting any of the top welterweights because of different promoters and TV..

Loma does have Rigo and he should rightfully be somewhere towards the top. Usyk and Crawford are indeed studs but their quality of opposition is so far back that no one would take it serious in comparison.


Usyk is the best fighter in his division. Fair play to him.

Crawford isn’t or at least doesn’t seem to be interested enough to prove it by fighting the top guys in his div.

Loma and Mikey are/were(?) on a collision to determine theirs with both making the case for it.

Canelo just beat a literal reigning p4p kingpin in the division on a historic run to cement his status. Not to mention his *already* better resume...

We can hate on the ginger all we want but he’s earned it. With the absence of Ward, Canelo is by far the number 1 right now based on merit.

Usyk beating AJ or Wilder is now something to talk about.

Crawford establishing himself with a win over Spence Or Thurman with a win over one of the others (Like Porter) realistically puts him in the *convo* for #1. That’s what it would take to put him in the convo right NOW. By then, the other guys will have (assuming) built even better resumes.

So long as Canelo keeps winning it’s going to be near impossible to move him from there especially if he throws in a big fight a year or so.

It’s like with Ward. Only retirement or a loss would have bumped him off..no one could catch up at that point except Canelo who woulda made a great case.


If Usyk beat Wilder and AJ and cleared out the hw division though...no lie we might be talking about an atg type of status not just p4p.

If he'd legitimately won against all of those fighters then he'd be p4p no.1 but he lost to Mayweather and (in my opinion) to Lara and GGG x2.

Mayweather had 2 controversial wins vs castillo and maidana. He went back and eliminated any doubt in the rematches. Pac and Marquez had 3 controversial fights, Marquez ended it with an emphatic ko. Canelo has never clarified any speration between him and Lara or ggg. The only thing that's clear is that judges will be biased in Canelos favor in close fights every single time.

Top 5 for sure. P4P no.1 though? that's tough because Crawford has looked damn near flawless and I think until anyone beats him he's going to maintain that position. Canelo has had very close fights that could've gone either way. My P4P top 5 would look like:

Lara lost. Anyone live saw his corner working his body frantically and saw the pain on Laras face. Plus heard and felt some of those body shots shake the ring. FUNNY how GGG fans felt Canelo ran against GGG in the 1st fight but Lara didnt??? Thats how you know their a bunch of salty hypocritical Kunts.
