Seems like you’re the revisionist here, Bellew won the early rounds but he didn’t dominate by any means.... Usyk was always landing and pecking away with jabs to head and body. He just waited to figure Bellew out and then he unloaded the heavy stuff and closed the fight out spectacularly.

It wasn’t perfect but give Usyk credit, the fact it took only 3 rounds for Bellew to go from “lighting Usyk up” to being beaten up and highlight reel KO’d showed how good Usyk is.

FFS people giving Usyk crap because he lost a couple early rounds. It's not ok to take time to figure out an opponent you've never faced? You can SEE Usyk working out what his opponent is doing and what he needs to do to counter act it. Give Bellew SOME credit....he had a plan to neutralize the jab and attack Usyk with a counter right. It just wasn't Good enough to keep Usyk off him.

No, it wasn't a disappointing performance because Usyk did what he was supposed to do and that was to knock Bellew the spark out. It was just that Usyk showed Bellew a bit too much respect that's all; Especially earlier in the fight.

However, by the second half of the fight; When Usyk realized that Tony didn't have enough punching power to hurt him. He started to relax, press more and walk Tony down before eventually stopping him in the eighth round.

Said right from the start Bellew would cause him issues if he boxed on the back foot and looked for counters, but that Usyk would figure him out and his insane stamina would take over in the back 6. I though he would stop him in the championship rounds, but he got him with an absolute peach and that was that.

Honestly, claiming Bellew was drained is embarrassing. He was 210lb HW, and not a particularly cut one either.

Was a very good fight, Bellew really had a gameplan up to the 4th after that he couldnt keep up.
Usyk knew bellew isnt the most disciplined guy, you know it too...so why make a fuss over a simple phrase "Usyk was just setting him up", maybe that not far from the thruth based on what bellew isnt capable of doing.
