They are one of the five main national free channel over here. They are meant to be free but they have a PPV for boxing. Which isn’t quite popular with the masses here, due to the fact that they don’t have any sort of high profile boxers. I believe Eubank jr is the only and recent boxer who fought on their PPV platform. Back in the 90s they use to be big players in boxing, until sky sports came over.

Itv is the perfect environment to create a star. Haymon has people in the uk to get fighters and if he's broadcasting guys in the USA that could act as prep until his uk roster is set

ITV is a ****e environment to create a star.

The only way you're making somebody a star in the UK is with a dedicated Sports channel and of that there is only really Sky and BT; both of which have agreements with Hearn and Warren respectively.

Channel5 is another channel that shows boxing in the UK and that's more akin to ITV in the sense that it is not a sports channel, it shows everything and thus the interest in fights on Channel 5 are only with the hardcore fans.

Same is the case with ITV boxing with their attempts at PPV with Jr..

I think your saying the same thing as ktfo king. In that it's up to the network to determine how much boxing is pushed. In that case your 100 correct. Uktv gave david haye 3 years with 5 fights a year. If haymon wanted to make a real dent in the uk market how many fights would he need a year..... definitely more than 5

Eddie Hearn invented Boxing let some of you guys tell it... My Goodness!

Hearn spend more time talking about and get asked about PBC fighters more than his own fighters. I'm sure Tank, Charlo and Mikey Garcia appreciate the Free Promotion

But this has NOTHING to do with Hearn I'm sure because it has been talked about before even before DAZN US Started. If you're able to make extra money for your Product in a market that loves boxing far more than Americans do, why wouldn't you do it? Because of Eddie? but yet it is OK for Eddie to try and come to America and build up his Brand? Come On People!

It's not even up to the network in this case... ITV simply doesn't have the means to pursue a huge commitment of boxing for there even to be a choice in the matter; not with all their other commitments (such as a growing TV production arm).

If Haymon can get some screen time on ITV then great (unless they try and put it behind the horrendous ITV PPV experiment) but it's not something that could possibly make waves to attract a new roster of fighters.
