Why would they put that out just to mess with Hearn? They would have to be childish to do that. Hearn is with Sky sports, and to be honest they are the biggest and best when it comes to sports around here. Over the last years they have seen off rival competitors in the UK.

The source is a UK tabloid newspaper, no reputable boxing journalist is running with it. Still could just be a load of nonsense

Haymon is as exclusive as there is, why would he plant a story to a UK tabloid that hardly anyone has heard of? Why would he try to mess with Hearn when he knows he has Sky's backing plus the biggest star that side of the world? Come on man, the title of the article was so misleading. Haymon is coming to the UK to take over or "invade" or whatever the hell the author wrote? Don't make more of the situation than what it really is.

I get what your saying but at the same time this rumor has been around about 3 years now. And it's not like haymon didnt sign almost every big name in the uk at one point. I happen to believe itv will broadcast pbc usa events and just bring I another revenue stream. But the fact that no major us report has said anything makes me believe it's possible. EVERYONE knew about the fox deal a whole YEAR in advance and no one said anything.

Mirror is one of the big newspapers in the UK, but they do fabricate stories. If he were to truly try to take on the UK market, the only logical thing to do would be to team up with Warren. Schaefer tried to take on the UK and soon ****ed off.

A random source said two years before the fox deal that pbc would make a deal with fox. And a RANDOM OBSCURE source also said pbc would sign manny Pacquiao weeks before it was official. Haymon doesnt leak info through traditional sources

And if he didn't try to "take over" when he had prime Degale/Khan/Frampton/Selby/etc why would he try to do that now? The boxing market out there isn't nearly as good as it is stateside. Don't let the big crowds fool you, MUCH more money being invested stateside in boxing than in the UK. Haymon isn't going to try to take over another market when he has so much on his plate with all the PBC dates from 2019 and on. Could it be another revenue source? Sure, because the PBC cards need to be picked up by some platform as it won't be Sky or BT Sports anymore as those two linked up with other American promotional companies.

If you are expecting this to be a big thing, then you will be disappointed. Haymon will get a few dates here and there with ITV and then have his PBC cards picked up by them. Definitely good for the UK fans, but nothing groundbreaking for Haymon.

Hearn works in the opposite way to with which Haymon does. You cant sign his guys. Haymon has his guys promote themselves, and hes the the manager. Hearn is the promoter, and his guys manage themselves. Its the same imprenterble set up.

He could pick up the same guys that have nowhere else to go, same as Hearn is doing with PBC. But no one will give up the Sky, and what Hearn offers in the UK.
