Honestly this is a small middleweight era, if you look at the era of Taylor and Pavlik when they were at their best...that would have been tough for Canelo even at 160, Golovkin too. GGG fans were crying enough about Jacobs size.

But Smith just being a fundamentally good boxer with that size, strength, chin and pop might be a too much for both Golovkin or Canelo. Fielding is an opportunistic move by GBP and just adds to the legacy in terms of titles in different weight divisions, but you can't knock them for it, Canelo has proven his mettle.
