Wilder is an unknown small fish in an even bigger pond you should say.
Canelo Alvarez, after the Floyd fight (counting his gate, Mexican TV, PPV, etc), debuted on PPV as a $20m fighter once you count everything, and has grown that to now being a $50m+ fighter.

Floyd didn't break through on PPV until he was 29/30. Still, once he broke through (after the Oscar and Hatton fights), Floyd has basically been a $50m+ event fighter ever since.

Wilder has this Fury fight on PPV, has a possibility Ortiz rematch for PPV, and has the Joshua fight.

He gets through those three fights in impressive form, and he's basically minted as a $30m+ event fighter for however long he's still winning. lol

    • In the US there is a huge market in boxing's in walk up sales on the day of the fight!

There is a large Latino community in the LA/South bay community. If DANZ had any sense they would fill the under card with popular Mexican fighters. There are thousands of illegals in the LA who would pay to see a home town hero. Carson (Home Depot Center), Inglewood (Forum) and the Staple Center have a great track record for walk up sales when it comes to Latino boxing (especially Mexican).

Wilder-Fury, on the official ticket hosting site (AXS.com), has maybe 1000 tickets left for sale.

Even if they didn't stage the venue for the full ~20000 seats (Santa Cruz-Mares put 12k+ into a Staples Center staged for ~14k), at $1000-$75, Wilder-Fury is still likely already over $3m at the gate, lol (and drastically significantly higher than that once the actual tickets sold gets put out there).

Stage the full 20000 seats, and a sellout in LA likely comes close to matching what took Joshua-Klitschko over 4 times the number of tickets to draw.
wilder fury is nowhere sold out and it's a bumb of a fight with less 3 weeks to go...Joshua klitcsko sold out in3 hours and tickets were selling 5 times over face value.
Just it accept crack head you have a donkey as a heavyweight who couldn't draw a picture let alone draw a crowd.
        Bum squad is embarrassing

Wilder shouldn't have problems putting 21k people to sit in the arena.
its not a wilder problem...its a us/boxing problem...there is a disconnect...americans arent tied into boxing in this era....interest in boxing in the us is at an all time low...trust me...i live here....its not dead...its not going to die...but the interest is low...too much going on....too many other sports...too hard to follow these days

if wilder was british hed be doing exactly what joshua was doing...and if joshua was american he would be in the exact same position as wilder....and thats 100 percent accurate...no ifs or ands about it

Don't twist it it bro. Boxing is not on a low in the state but the prices are getting higher scaring the casuals away.

We all know the fundamental problem of boxing in the US is the pricing system, let's not dance around it.

The problem is clear. A 21k arena will be sold out in the UK in less than 12hrs.

boxing is at an all time low in the states..plain and simple...if wilder was in the late 80s/early 90s hed be worth 100 mil already

maybe pricing is the problem...but you cant deny boxing popularity in the us is an all time low...its not wilders fault...he promotes and talks...he delivers ko's....hes not the issue

He is the issue cos he KO bums and has refused to fight a live body. It's also his fault he has never been on ppv and can't sell out arena 's.

The pricing system is not his fault cos greedy People run boxing in the US to make others feel like thats where the money is by reaping off celebrities and other high profile citizens instead making it pocket friendly for all that love the sport.

Meanwhile, it is what it is for now so let's see how it goes with matxhroom USA and DAZN to see how far they can go with this monthly subscription.

90s Wilder wouldn't have been a title holder. He'd have lost many times before getting a chance. Too much quality.
