If Golovkin doesn't fight Charlo he shouldn't get a Canelo fight imo. He's had 2 massive pay days and chances already, time to earn another.

Well who do you think Canelo would rather fight? A guy he probably believes he beat at least once and did solid ppv numbers with...or some no name guy who hasn't proven himself to be able to sell a fight at all. Not to mention ggg is clearly past it and charlo is in his prime. Canelo has been in twice with ggg...charlo is an unknown risk with a much lower reward.

Ggg ain't trying to "earn" anything at this point in his career. He's not some upstart...he wants another big retirement payday.

The problem with these "he hasn't earned it" b.s. is that most of the time, no one has earned it. You can say Jacobs deserves it more, and I can understand that. Still, a big part of Jacobs deserving it more is his fight against g. A fight that he got because he was g's mandatory.

It doesn't matter though. What matters is who Canelo will decide to face. It won't be Charlo. Canelo will end up vacating his WBC title if they ever mandate that he fight Charlo.

No he won't. I think Charlo will vacate his mandatory position before Canelo vacates the belt.
But it won't be cause Charlo is scared. Far from it.
It's all politics. That's what's really gonna keep the fight from happening.
Only way I see this fight happening is if Charlo agrees to fight Canelo on DAZN and IDK if he will cause Charlo is under Al Haymon.
So it's gonna be interesting to see what happens...

I have absolutely no doubt that Charlo and Haymon will be more than willing to fight Canelo on DAZN. Haymon isn't ****** and he doesn't let his rivalries cost his fighters millions of dollars. Haymon advised Jacobs to sign with Hearn and to sign a deal with HBO. A Haymon fighter signed a contract with hbo.

Haymon and Charlo both realize who the "A side" is. They both know that if Canelo offers them a fight that it will have to be on DAZN.

DAZN might be the only player in this deal who would try to scuttle the fight. DAZN wouldn't want a PBC fighter coming and beating the guy they just guaranteed $365 million to.
