Comments Thread For: Luke Campbell Back On Canelo-Fielding Or Whyte-Chisora II

Luke Campbell is looking to return to the ring before the end of the year. The WBC Silver lightweight champion was last in action in September, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office. Campbell, 31, outclassed Yvan Mendy at Wembley Stadium, as part of the supporting cast to Anthony Joshua's WBA Super, IBF, IBO and WBO world heavyweight title defences against Alexander Povetkin, in a rematch of their December 2015 shock in which the Frenchman floored Cool Hand' en-route to a split-decision win.

I wonder when the wbc mandatory is due? With Garcia going to 147 I doubt we’ll see him back at 135 again so I expect Campbell to fight for the vacant title soon.

He’ll be a world champion one day. He’s a solid world level fighter I wouldn’t exactly call that mediocre.

I'm surprised he went the WBC route, Garcia was never going to be interested in him but won't be stripped anytime this decade. Is his co-promotional with Arum over before it began?

Really enjoy watching Campbell ply his craft. His fight with Linares was really entertaining with some sublime skills being showcased...

Campbell vs Fortuna would actually be a smart move by WBC.

Fortuna looked like he was getting into form until he flew out the ring.
