Joshua is the classic catch and counter! And against Usyk, I could see that working. But I can't see Bellew doing that.

You making this up? Usyk could have moved up straight away and asked WBO to make him AJ's next mandatory. But he called out Bellew before the matchroom tie in.

Question is, how does Bellew, a non counter puncher counter punch a counter puncher? If he does try to counter, fight will end up a bore fest similar to Jr Mayweather vs Juan Marquez. Well, Marquez did try a half aszed assault to lead the fight. So there's that...

I know Joshua sees himself as such but I'm not seeing that passive version of Joshua working very well against Usyk.

Against the two best fighters he has ever faced, Povetkin and Klitschko he had almost no success being passive, I assume waiting for a counter opportunity. In fact when Joshua wasn't initiating his own offense he was having his ass handed to him.

No, Joshua is not what he thinks he is or what you think he is, at least not at the highest levels.

The path that seems likely to be taken is Usyk vs loser of Chisora/Whyte to make the step up to HW. Winner of Chisora/Whyte to face AJ in April.

Therefore, Uysk can't win against AJ because the deck and all the cards are stacked against him anyhow.
which fight did AJ get a gift decision in?
