Why does it bother so many on this forum?
It doesn’t. People really just don’t like the scumbag Hearn because of his protective financial interests of Joshua lmao. Protective lol. I have DAZN. I have ESPN+....

Boxing fans are a weirdly stubborn bunch I've found over the years.
Some are fans of TV stations, promoters and fight stables, and by proxy hate will hate on any others.

I feel there were some who wanted DAZN to fail before it had even started just because Hearn's name was attached. He seems to rub up some people the wrong way. He was loud and brash on the new venture, but he got people's attention by doing so, negative or positive. It's his job to do so.

I haven't said whether I think it's good or bad. But not doing something because Wilder says so just shows the level of activity that goes on between the ears.
Because Wilder says so? You sound like a damn idiot.

Well, just the timing of it rubs people the wrong way as it happened during the negotiations of Wilder/Joshua. And we know the ***** storm that causes. Then Hearn was very brash of who he was going to go after and ended up with none of the guys he mentioned. He was very ignorant in thinking that would happen by just offering good money to those fighters that already make good money. It is by no coincidence that the fighters he has signed are those that either have no home base, or are B level names. A guy like Vargas isn't even a top 5 name in Haymon's WW stable. Andrade was out of mind, out of sight to most fans due to his inactivity. Usyk is a beast but there is a reason he has to fight on the road every fight. Beterbiev's career has been slow due to promotional issues and inactivity. And the list goes on and on. Doesn't mean those aren't quality fighters because they are.

But I've been a big advocate of DAZN from the beginning. I recommend it to every boxing fan. The WBSS alone makes it worth it, and now you are going to have GBP along with GGG on the platform. Still get the Matchroom UK shows as well. Overall I don't think many people are salty about it. At least not more than any other newer platform or promotional company. I mean did PBC not catch heat? Folks don't like different and early on it is natural to get hate. Then you also have to take into consideration that a lot of boxing fans have no idea how to get the app on your TV screen. I think instead of Hearn attacking those fans saying how easy it is, he along with others on DAZN should put more effort in SHOWING how easy it is. Just let people know it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. If you have a smart TV, then it is super easy. But even without it there are many ways to make it work. This was actually similar blow back to ESPN+.

              Boxing is argumentative by design.

As a martial art boxing was invented by the Spartan. They thought helmets were for women, that's why when you see Spartans in full armor they have another state's helmet on. Usually Corinthian. Punches were meant to strengthen their blows with weapons like swords and axes in the right hand while the left was to mimic a shield. It's how Wilder fights and why Wilder calls himself a gladiator. Boxing, as in points fighting, wasn't invented until 1790.

Ok, Sparta invents boxing but it is the panhellenic games that turn it into a sport. A sport with very specific intentions. Politics, religion and sport are tied into one. Each game has a patron god. Olympia is Zeus. Olympians carry the favor of Zeus. It's not respect that stops states from invading the champion's land it's religion wrapped up in politics. An Olympian would be the most proven and sacred. Next is the Pythian games in honor of Apollo. Apollo is the god of boxing and that alone ought to clue you in as to the importance of boxing. The next would be the Nemean in honor of Herakles(Hercules). You know the Hamlet quote? Yeah bubba Willy Shakes knows his ****, dude sought roots can you dig it? and then finally you have Poseidon's Isthmian which was more for plays and **** but still boxing is too important to not be apart of it.

An attack against a champion who has been honored by a god is an attack against that god.

So what the damn hell guy, you was explaining how boxing is designed to incite arguments not how it was designed to limit them. This is a long explanation that does not explain why folks want to argue over everything and nothing in boxing? Dig this next paragraph son:

Right remember when I said boxing as you know it starts in the 1790s? Well, all of it really. Not just the defense first but how the industry itself works. In England at the time we're in the renaissance or enlightenment yeah? We're all agreed? What was super cool for rich and wealthy folks to get into back then? Ancient greek ****. Boxing ain't no different than America. Is American democracy Greek? How much of it was misinterpreted? Yeah boy, it's lousy with wrong, lucky we had the iroquois to set us straight. Anyway what I'm driving at is when Figg and other were reviving boxing they were doing a mix of actual revival and just making **** up to fill the blanks. It seems very obvious to this researcher that the Figg era and what came just before him misinterpreted the Greek's political aspect. Boxing went from proving all men are equally capable of and eligible for Zeus's blessing to being proof of British or to be more correct English superiority.

From there, using the sentiments of English superioity to it's fullest Daniel Mendoza invents pissing off the public through the media by penning editorials in newspapers as call outs and just generally talking **** to both fighter and country. Then when Mendoza got in the ring he refused to engage which only pissed of the crowd more. Then when Mendoza saw the hate had boiled to considerable heights Mendoza invented ticketing for a live sporting event. Daniel The *** Mendoza set forth the most lucrative means of exploiting a crowd boxing had ever seen and since then boxing has never turned back.

Mendoza School requires hate. Hate is what filled pockets. There is not now nor was there ever a serious effort to make boxing a sport about brotherhood, respect, or any other bull**** boxers claim makes this sport honorable. There is a strong and motivated core of the industry that has always and will always look to make it dirty.

Because of this, the very nature of the biz, boxing is designed to incite arguments among fans. It is what pays the bills. Mendoza is exactly like Mayweather and folks like to argue about anything boxing on. Seems obvious and designed to me.

Deontay Wilder gets more promotion out of haters posting his promotional pieces everywhere they think they will get a laugh then he does out of his fans explaining his situation....designed.
