I understand you root for g and have a hard time accepting the fact that he just got pummeled and beat black and blue... but he did.

The second fight is actually kind of hard to watch. One can see g being inflicted with permanent brain damage. I like g, got nothing against the guy, but he is clearly a level below Canelo. As their fight a month and a half ago proved. They just fought, and then Canelo gets a record setting contract. And g was hoping to fight Murata. He was going to get paid in the form of free haircuts for a year. Arum was going to pay for a year of g's haircuts. And g was happy with that. While Canelo is getting $365 million.
Level below? How interesting. And how was the first fight? Also level below? Or 2 levels? 5? Keep em coming brother...

A level below. That was rather clear. g ran away and was scared to death the whole fight. His entire face was literally reconfigured by Canelo. The swelling still hasn't gone down.

Canelo-g II is honestly difficult to watch. One can see g clearly taking punishment that will result in permanent brain damage.

The talk is that g is seriously entertaining an offer to open for a major ****fighting event outside of Baton Rouge. No one knows if any state will license him to fight again after that second Canelo fight. Supposed to be some local bouncer who has won some Toughman contests.

Of course he is an elite fighter. He proved that on Saturday night against Daniel Jacobs. He is definitely a force to be reckon with. Now I can understand why Team Golovkin decided to bypass him in favor of Vanes Martirosyan because he is a tough fight for anyone; Especially in the Middleweight division.

He's very good, but Saturday showed he is just below the level of the legit champs. The only reason he won on 1 of the cards was due to Jacobs pretty much giving him the last 3 rounds. I'd like to see him beat someone along the lines of Murata or Lemieux, maybe a have shot at Brant before another shot at one of the legit champs.

He never punched off the break. Referee didn't say break there and there were no clinch. Ref said something but that wasn't either 'break' or 'no punch there'.
Also Derev is way shorter and has shorter reach too so you can understand that his blows go lower.

Andrade will run from an even mention of Derev's name somewhere nearby.
