Seriously, I hope he just retires. He's made enough money in the sport and he has very little to prove at this point. He doesn't owe Charlo, Jacobs or anyone for that matter anything.

I love Daniel Jacobs too but Golovkin was the champ when he fought him. It was a close fight but he still lost.

Moreover, the longer Golovkin fights, the more he runs the risk of getting seriously hurt by one of the younger fighters in the division. Even though I thought he won his last fight, however at the same time, he took a real beating in that fight.

He is almost 40. Therefore, if he so chooses to prolong his career; Then inevitably one of these young lions will eventually end up stopping him or knocking him out.

At almost 37 years of age, I think that it would be in his best interest to just retire if he is not going take on the stiffest challengers in the division. However, would do you think?
