Except the fact the WBC ordered a final eliminator between Charlo and GGG. Why is this so hard to understand? That is why this fight is being talked about in the first place.

Charlo is NOT Canelo's mandatory just yet. Now the question is does the WBC make him fight someone else or because GGG passed on this fight, Charlo becomes the mandatory?

Looks like GGG may go to ESPN and fight someone like Brant, or possibly move up for Zurdo in 2019 or early 2020?

Had GGG won, Charlo would have remained the mandatory. However the WBC decided that due to the closeness of the GGG-Alvarez fight, they would order the eliminator while granting Alvarez a voluntary. I believe that should GGG decline the fight formally, Charlo will become mandatory outright as he was while GGG was champion.

I'm not sure that the you have to be a DAZN fighter to fight on DAZN rule is a thing. I believe the fights that will get subscribers will be negotiated and made. Hearn is the promoter most at risk now of not fulfilling his DAZN content commitment. He needs dance partners for Andrade, he needs Jacobs to re-up. That was his motivation for saying that. Think about it, they told Loeffler to talk to Eddie or Oscar. Meaning, sign a co-promotion deal with them for a fight. That can easily be a one-off fight. Those types of fights favor PBC fighters who don't have dedicated promotions or like the Charlos, promote themselves.

Again - it shows that it's easy to complain and moan when You're up and comer and You want others to give you a shot - like Felix Sturm..
...but when it comes to situation when You have to give someone a shot when You established more of a name - Everyone is going to be selfish and look for safer money.
Golovkin says he's frustrated with Boxing being a business - and now He became part of that same problem, corrupted by the system.

If Golovkin doesn't give Charlo a shot, it takes quite a lot from his legacy - not in terms of wins and losses - but legacy of great champion who as long as He was competing - was willing to fight anyone and was all for boxing as a competition and sport, not business.

It's not hard to understand ... if you also understand that the WBC is corrupt and will do everything they can to make sure Canelo doesn't vacate their title again if they tell him he has to fight somebody he doesn't want to fight.

I told everybody who would listen that GGG wasn't going to challenge Charlo as a mandatory challenger. It's because for one; Charlo doesn't have a major title and two; There is not a lot of money in a fight with Jermall Charlo for a shot at Canelo's titles because he doesn't have the following that Ginger has. At the present, Golovkin is too old to go backwards. Either he rematches with Canelo, moves up to 168 or just simply retire.

GG vs CHARLO would make more than any other fight at 160 with the exception of a CANELO rematch.

Hey apparently you haven't heard the news that triple L's retiring to 🦆 til may when he'll claim to have made a comeback?
