Great effort by Sergiy, but he wasn't able to land much - so those points go to DANNY for efficient defense. And Danny was landing solid flush counters in between...uppercut was there all night long.

Danny fought a great fight. In my thread I picked Sergiy to win as I thought he'd have more success in getting to Danny and pinning Danny. Props to Danny for defending better than I thought he was capable.

Sergiy is not an easy night for anyone although he's probably not going to beat Canelo (not that the fight would ever happen anyway), but would be a good fight for Andrade/Charlo/BJS to take to help improve their resume and "beat Sergiy better than Danny did"

I wouldn't bet on those three beating Sergiy. He would be hell for all of them.

Danny Jacobs fought a very good fight tonight guys. It was just the guy that he was in there challenging was as tough as nails as they come.

Personally, I couldn't blame GGG for ducking him on Cinco DeMayo of this year. This man Derevyanchenko can fight.

He would have been a very tough fight for Golovkin going into that Canelo fight on Mexican Independence Day of last month. Team Golovkin was wise in avoiding him.

Oscar is 5'10 and a half. Chavez is not 5'11 he's actually closer to 6'2 then he is his boxrec listed 6'1. And both Chavez and Lara have a longer reach then Jacobs. Canelo has fought plenty of taller and longer reach fighters then him. You bring up 1 time sugar Ray was dropped again Jacobs has been floored more then that and you are not counting the many times he was wobbled and again almost all of these times were against weak competition. Lucas got dropped after he was no longer the same with the eye injury and beaten from the Danny Garcia fight. All fights after that his chin, durability were questioned and exposed because he was a damaged goods fighter. Jacobs is not damaged goods he is just chinny. Pac got dropped early in his career before he got with Freddie a elite trainer who changed him as a fighter and went like a decade without being dropped. Jacobs has been dropped many times as recent as last year call me when he goes a decade without being floored and I'll change my opinion on him being chinny.

What longer fighters? Canelo was having issues with Khan

What? Canelo lost the first round against Khan. One could argue he lost the 2nd round also, but he was already timing Khan in the 2nd...and each round after Canelo dominated...landing the meaningful punches and setting traps to Khan's pitter patter shots.

I'm no Danny Garcia fan by any means, but I'll always defend his fight with Khan. Many posters say Khan was tattooing Danny, but the truth is Danny was already timing Khan by Round 2 and although he lost the first 2 rounds he was definitely changing the fight with traps and counters. Yes the KTFO left hook was pure luck (Danny had his head down and wasn't even looking), but something else would've clipped Khan in a similar way if it hadn't been that hook

Jacobs has been dropped a whopping 3 times. 2 of them were flash knockdowns

Danny hasn't fought a ton of great fighters. He has a good chin, but it can be cracked. Nothing wrong with having a crackable chin... Some guys work around it and defend responsibly so it's never even an issue. It hasn't really been an issue for Danny either as most of his KD's are flash KD's.
