Oh man, don't get me started on compubox, or showtimes punchstat. I have said for years that punch stats should not be revealed until the end of the fight. People tend to watch a fight and say it was a close round but I think fighter A pulled it off. Then they see or hear compubox and say but fighter B landed more punches, he must have won the round. Probably one of the worst things to happen to boxing. And Lampley doesn't score a round until he sees the stats. If judges cant see them, then fans shouldn't see them to the fights over.

I think they should get a brief mention the next say

statistics are like a bikini..... they give you a rough idea whats going on, but they hide all the good stuff

they are only relevant to historians, and even then should be taken with a grain of salt

Not to mention that all those stats are created by people. It's basically one person per fighter, ring side pushing buttons when they "think" a punch landed. A flawed system that is also affected by speed and angles.
