Hulu Theater, Madison Square Garden, New York City - In a battle for the vacant IBF middleweight world title, Daniel Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over previously undefeated Sergiy Derevyanchenko (12-1, 10 KOs). The scores were 114-113 for Derevyanchenko, 115-112 for Jacobs, and 115-112 Jacobs.

Just as I said about Jacobs before, him fighting a close fight with Cripple G says more about Cripple G than it does him. I just never thought Jacobs was that good. The Quillin fight folled everyone. Quillin's record fooled everyone.
If Jacobs would have lost this fight, it would have been his own fight. Every time he hurt Deverynchenko, he backed off of him. He just never listens to his corner. I know for a fact Canelo knocks him out and I'm not so sure he beats Charlo.

Jacobs edged it out, but very nice close by SD. Jacobs was just landing the cleaner and harder shots for majority of the fight. Cong**** to him for FINALLY having a legitimate MW title.
Bring on Canelo in May or Andrade or Charlo....Or even the GGG rematch.

had derevyanchenko winning, but can't complain. it was a close fight and danny did a lot of good things there, also got KD
