Oops, my bad, it was in the 3rd:
Who would achieve that endgame though? Would Pacquiao put a cap on the series with a 3-0-1 finish, or would Marquez finally get the official nod many believed belonged to him in the previous three bouts?
Early on, it appeared Pacquiao - fighting with a ferocity he hasn't shown in a while - would finish his series with Marquez with a flourish. That all changed with a flush right hand in the third round that stunned the capacity crowd.
The Filipino icon rose, and as a credit to his reputation and popularity, most saw the knockdown as a mere hiccup, not a premonition.
By Thomas Gerbasi - It was violent, frightening, dramatic, and beautiful. Nothing can quite encompass all those feelings in one 17 minute 59 second segment of time, but Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao managed to do it in the best and most exhilarating of their four fights last Saturday night. And that's what the bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas was - a fight. Though unlike some of the storied brawls celebrated throughout the years, this wasn't something you would see in a smoky club or in a back alley, as this was boxing at its highest level contested by two of the best of this or any other era. Yet what made it special was that for the all the tactical brilliance displayed by Marquez and Pacquiao in their first three bouts, this one had an edge to it that's hard to describe but that was evident as soon as the bell rang. We all hear fighters saying that they will leave it all in the ring or that they're willing to die in pursuit of their art. Marquez and Pacquiao made no such bold proclamations, opting to instead let their actions speak for themselves. What followed was a fight in which every punch was meant to do damage, every round was tenser than the previous one, and every drop of blood shed was a signal that the end was near.
Hindsight is 20/20! It was a PREMONITION before the DEMOLITION!

This is where he just gets ******. His rationale is because Spence and Crawford haven't beaten a WW as good as Manny that they therefore can't beat this Manny even though he is small.
He forgets that the WW that was on the level of Spence and Crawford, Cotto, he had to fight at 145 because 147 might have been too much for Manny.
Wonder what happens if the promoter and trainer make it easier for Cotto instead of Manny?Comment

Cotto's pride prevented Pac rematch
October 5, 2012
Arum said that when Cotto turned it down, he and Pacquiao went with Marquez for Pacquiao's next fight, just one week after Cotto's.
Cotto vigorously disputed Arum's claim.
"The only offer Top Rank ever made us was the same money as in 2009," Cotto told ESPN.com. "[Arum] made the same offer he made in 2009, and we found it kind of funny. That was the reason we decided not to face Pacquiao. That, and they also wanted me to go down to 150 pounds and give him the same advantage that they gave Pacquiao in 2009, a catchweight."
Cotto said he was surprised to read that Arum said he offered him $13 million.
"Bob said he offered us $13 million, but he never came to us with that offer," Cotto said. "He always offered us the same guarantee he offered us in 2009, with the same benefits, and that's not fair. He offered the exact same amount of money. Of course it's a business, but all we want is fair business. You can say to Bob to tell me he made that offer to me to my face, and you will see his reaction.
"Miguel Cotto always agrees to fight the best. I've never said no to anybody, but you need to treat me fairly in business."
