If he makes this thats 4 fights in a row for Loma Arum worked with another promoter. Loma vs Russell, Loma vs Rigo, and Loma vs Linares is another.

Makes me think Crawford vs Spence seems to be Spence's side that are not wanting the fight yet.
4 fights where the other side was favored to lose and had no other options. Mikey, like Spence, has options. And Russell was a purse bid Arum lost.

If Arum is talking a deal, and Robert Garcia seems to think that the fight is legit, it's likely for a date on ESPN.

If you're coming to Arum, he has no issue; if you want him to come to you, you're better off trying to sick your own **** if you're not mandatory.

You wonder why Arum tone has changed from this...

To now being more willing than ever to make this fight? ESPN applying that Pressure I THINK, time to step things up particularly after DAZN just landed Canelo, Pacquiao just left him, they need BIGGER and BETTER FIGHTS on their Platform Immediately if they're investing all this money into boxing. Clearly whoever gave Arum the ESPN Deal wasn't aware of how THIN his Roster is so now he has to delivery big fights BUT HE doesn't have NOT 1 Big In House Match Up he can delivery to them

and Name Calling is not going to help make things better either

For one fight, after delivering the Commey fight, with no bull**** behind it, and an agreement to return? That'd be an interesting conversation.

Doubt that the conversation ever happens though; Bob Arum offering the Lomachenko unification fight, with no rematch clause, no option bull**** behind it, no nothing? Would be a cold day for that to happen.

To this day, I have no idea, tbh.

Robert Garcia had a good career for himself, and there's no doubt that he's earned a nice chunk of change working with his brother, but it's always baffled me why he doesn't simply buyout/fight out the deals for the young guys that work out of his gym, put up the money, and basically have everyone in his gym fight under a 'Garcia Boxing Management' deal.

Same with Egis Klimas, and Frank Espinoza, and Cameron Dunkin, among others.

Front the advance money in-house, take your roster of clients to a promoter(s) that you've done good business with, and keep the upside for you and the fighter that you're representing.

Advance money is a mother****er though, especially if you're coming from nothing with mouths to feed already.
