Comments Thread For: Callum Smith Very Interested in Fighting Canelo Next

If Canelo Alvarez intends to remain at the super middleweight limit, WBA world champion Callum Smith is more than eager to fight him. Canelo (50-1-2, 34 KOs) is heading up to the super middleweight limit on December 15, when he challenges WBA "regular" champion Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

I'd give Smith a 5% chance of defeating Canelo. Perhaps even a 10%.

Callum, Liam and Paul can team-up for 12 rounds and Alvarez KO's all three under ten rounds.

A near 7 inch height advantage.

I think Calum should beat Canelo.

Good big one beats great little one

Are you aware of how big Callum Smith is? He is a ****ing monster at 168 and he knows how to use his size effectively. He is six inches taller with an 8 inch reach advantage!

I think smith is the favourite in that fight and if it actually happened and he wasn't the favourite I would be lumping on him.

But I also think there is zero chance GBP throw Canelo in with Smith. He will fight Fielding and go back to 160.

Sounds like you're confusing Callum with Fielding. Callum is not only big but very strong at 168. Fielding is big at 168 but NOT strong and that is the reason Canelo chose Fielding and not Callum nor will Canelo ever fight Callum.
